As she has been in the last several weeks Soledad O'Brien is yet again, taking no guff, from another Republican blowhard. In this case she, and a few other CNN hosts, challenge a new Anti-Obama film by Steve Bannon of Brietbart.com and the infamous right-wing advocacy group Citizen's United.
The film focuses on 40 Democrats and Independents who had voted for President Obama in 2008 and are leaning toward not voting at all in 2012, and in my own opinion it might do the President a service by pointing out where he has softness in his support - however Soledad and the others first notice that main reasons given by these voters for not wanting to support President Obama again - are based on Lies. Some complain that taxes have gone up, when in fact via the Stimulus and Health Care Bill taxes for the middle class have been cut. Other complain about the Bailout, when that was implemented under President Bush.
“Voters can be low information voters,” Bannon said. “They can be mid-information voters. We went and took a pool of voters, right, who voted for President Obama who are active in the voter pool, registered voters who are likely to vote. Some said they are not going to vote because they may not vote for President Obama. But we got their feelings. And some of them had information that’s not absolutely perfect. I mean, a lot of them don’t know a lot about Obamacare.”“It sounds like it doesn’t matter to you if the information of the voter is accurate,” O’Brien replied.“No, it matters but when they’re talking about their own personal beliefs, some of that is in there, absolutely,” Bannon said in defense.“But taxes going up isn’t a personal belief, it’s a fact, right?” O’Brien shot back.
the dark horse shenanigans on the right platform of lies is tantamount to a house of cards when we open the door on that house, swoosh.
promotion by the right wing of proven lies begs to question their moral fiber or more appropriately lack there of, and the base still doesn't care.
“I do believe that people of this country are looking for someone who can get the country growing again with more jobs and more take-home pay, and I think they realize this president had four years to do that,” Romney told Politico in an interview published Monday. “He got every piece of legislation he wanted passed, and it didn’t work. I think they want someone who has a different record, and I do.”
No, he really didn't get everything he wanted passed. He didn't get the American Jobs Act passed, it was blocked by Republicans. This view ignores how many of his bills had to be trimmed down and compromised in order to get through the Republican Filibuster in the Senate. We didn't get a Public Option. He didn't get an Energy Bill. He didn't get a Cap-and-Trade Bill. He didn't get a Farm Bill. We didn't get a Budget Deal because Republicans Walked Out of the Meetings.
Besides if it comes down to pointing out how disappointed people who previously voted for you are now, supporters of Romney probably shouldn't be throwing that particular stone.
I pray that the truth be realized and the hate quelled by that realization that those voting in that party will suffer the same fate they think they would be imposing on the other "we the people"
