Congress is finally standing up to President Barack Obama on targeted killing. Almost a year after three American citizens were killed in US drone strikes, legislators are pushing the administration to explain why it believes it's legal to kill American terror suspects overseas.The New York Times has confirmedthe existence of a secret memo from the Justice Department's Office of Legal Counsel (OLC)—the branch of the government that tells the president whether what he wants to do is legal—outlining the legal basis for the targeted killing program. But the Obama administration has yet to acknowledge that any such memo exists, despite defending the targeted killing policy in speeches and public appearances, and iscurrently fighting an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit that seeks to force the government to reveal the legal justification for targeted killing. Now Congress seems to be moving towards the ACLU's position.
congress is aiding Romney and the gang. this is another of a long list of smoke a mirrors. they are trying to make it seem this admin is willing to kill Americans indiscriminately. so they prefer he wait till these "American's" kill other American's not of the traitorous kind, so they can then claim Pres. allowed it to happen. cake and eating it too leaves your hands and face really messy. they can't reveal it to "we the people so they would have to leak it if they can spin it in their favor. "we the people" need to know the cost of this latest witch hunt by republicans, seem they aren't to worried about the budget when they are in their insurrection mode.
notice as the desperation increasing so goes the ridiculous, efforts to continually paint our beloved Pres. as everything but a true, competent "AMERICAN PRESIDENT" they keep forgetting, "it's on video stupid". are they the republicans leaking info to the enemy by bring this up? if it's true is that not "TREASON"?
