The police chief in the case of a 21-year-old man who officers say shot himself in the head while his hands were cuffed behind his back admits that the scenario “defies logic,” but Jonesboro Police Chief Michael Yates stands behind the officers who made the claim.
arrogance on the rise, do they feel safe murdering young Black men? we know they can't claim stand your ground or resisting or self defense by their own seriously questionable report they were in a different section of the car. so what does that leave, he was so intent on killing hisself he defied human ability and successfully ended himself, while double shackled behind his back. was there a camera focused on the prisoner?
that sounds like the story where they pulled a black man out of the river to prove his being accused of shooting himself in the back 5 times with a repeating rifle while chained up, the sheriff said he was stealing chains shot himself then drowned himself out of remorse.
that is just as ridiculous as any those who commit these crimes can come up with.
In an interview with HLN host Jane Velez Mitchell, Yates called the situation surrounding the death of Chavis Carter “bizarre,” admitting that the notion that a handcuffed Carter shot himself in the head with a gun he secreted from two police officers who searched him twice, all while he remained handcuffed and seated in the back of a patrol car, defies logic.
gaffe or sincere?
