Race Matters: Why Gallup Poll Finds Less Support For President Obama

Among the many polls released every day, one always stands out. The Gallup Poll is arguably themost trusted survey brand in the world, a name virtually synonymous with public opinion polling.
It has measured presidential job approval and vote preference without interruption since the 1940sand now conducts a daily tracking poll that reaches more than 3,600 adults every week -- a volume of data that dwarfs that produced by other firms. As a result, Gallup's numbers enjoy unique influence and public prominence.
Over the past few years, however, polling junkies have noticed something curious: Gallup's polls have produced results that appear slightly but consistently more negative to President Obama than those produced by other firms.
dramatic fall in response rates has led to what pollsters call "non-response bias" in their raw data. Partly because survey response rates are typically lowest in urban areas, unweighted samples routinely under-represent black and Hispanic Americans.
i have always had a problem with pollster's and their representative samples. i'm 63 i know no one who have ever been included in one of these polls.  you have some that are biased IMO like Foxes Rasmussen, they always poll in favor of right wing when every other poll says the opposite.
those kind of pollster's have to poll in the group of those inclined to who ever the poll is payed to project.  makes sense if you want to find out if the right will vote for Romney you don't poll progressive demographics.
leaving me to feel polls are paid shills for whoever hires their services. biased and misleading for profit. i wrote this on my blog 2 years ago.        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8UyFCVOGKI

just as Roger Ailes and Nixon set in motion the deceitful plan to bring politics to Fox and direct or thinking

POLLS OR POLECATS?

Hello, getting real annoyed at these different polls, seems every other day there is a new pollster. Does it make sense that if you want to promote your agenda you poll people in that demographic? 29% disapproval 67% ever wonder who those % comprise anyone call for your opinion? once again who's zoomin' who?

we can't trust that which we gave blind faith in to tell us the truth the truth is there is no truth available that does not come with a paint by numbers.
we have to look and let it unfold.
