Cameras, mounted on his cruiser's trunk, scan and photograph the license tags of passing cars -- sounding alarms when possible violators are spotted.The license readers can scan 1,800 plates a minute -- Eisenberg says the readers have helped capture dangerous fugitives. But they are also used beyond the freeways. During President Obama's inauguration, the cameras helped scan for tags of specific vehicles connected to possible threats. And some 500 readers on the U.S. border feed data into terror watch lists.
didn't the OUTER LIMITS tv show have episodes where the people were all under the technical watch of their daily endeavors. Star Trek, all the scify shows and movies. if you can dream it you can achieve it. should we have instead of laughing been saying "ah crap". not like we weren't warned. these toys we have now, will they or have they already become the instruments of this country, world relinquishing it's right to freedom? how free are you if they know your life better then your diary? who's lives will be the number 1 subject of gov't and corporate voyuers? yes corporate, how to you think ad money knows what buttons to push? 1984 or 2084?
