this is a expression of my personal thoughts as well as an observance of what I as a Vietnam Vet sees the United States that I fought for 48 years ago was and is returning to those dark times I am worried!!

the disrespect and lack of acknowlegement
i saw somewhere yesterday online or on tv, the question asked "why does it have to always be this confrontation" paraphrase, me i feel if the right is so dedicated to the people and the country why does it hurt "just us" if the right really cared then why do they elect to hold out on all these many republican "good" ideas, that would help the people and the country, and let both flounder for 4 years to their own ends. selfish, and they are teaching it to their kids in the T-Party summer indoctrination camps". if they did have some clue as to what the American people want, and not what they tell them they want. it surely is not holding out and hostage in favor of them earning their bribe money, and their base's misguided loyalty. Bush "you can fool some of the people all of the time and those are the one's you want to concentrate on", concentrating for 4 years should have given them a passing grade by now. didn't because they could give a gnats crap about what their base wants, they want what they are told to want. sorry Ms C but sometimes the elephant dung is more rancid then other times, this is one. please click title for story

is Santorum using deceased son for sympathy vote?
i can see the idea of what he did and said was the reason, but i can't explain because it sounds (my interpretation) like i'm not considering their feelings, but i have to consider not so much public opinion but the potential effect on their children to see s lifeless body to small for them to appreciate as a once living breathing person, a newbie at that age 20 weeks i personally have no idea of what it would look like, but images of mad scientist with jars of various stages of whatever. not attempting to be facetious. then it get's turned into a side show but that only could have happened if they sought it out. the hospital or professionals would not because of litigation potential. so this comes IMO to be an exploitation that recoiled and now they are playing the victims. not surprising right wing attempt, at sensationalism to promote political agenda. now not feeling so undecided. kinda lean to my interpretation given the the story not leaked but presented to the press,they wanted that notoriety.

our political blessing
Hello, progressives have in their hands the ability to implement the change that our beloved Pres. said "yes we can" not "yes I can" no man is an island unto himself the days of kick back and the best situation will prevail, no longer can be a part of our elective process, if we want our country to be the country that just espouses all these pie in the sky adjectives about how great this country is to be the mantra knowing it's a big fat right wing lie. if we want a more compassionate country that cares about all it's citizenry, then we need to get up off the indifference and make our desire a reality. if you put all so called minorities together we out number the oppressors, we are the majority let's break this cycle of repressed rights, laws ignored or rewritten to suit the corruption of the constitution by those who are in it not to have a life but to take the potential we have at one. no vote for our beloved Pres. is a sure vote for tyranny. it's just a vote away.

Common Sense
Common Sense
from my brother Haywood not the author just the vehicle, enjoy
An Obituary printed in the London Times.....Absolutely Brilliant !!
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense,
who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he
was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red
tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable
lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend
more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not
children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old
boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens
suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher
fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his
condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing
the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their
unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but
could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to
have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became
businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their
victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a
burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed
to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a
little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust,
by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his
son, Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If
you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and
do nothing
