Senator Bernie Sanders appeared on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd today. He appeared to discuss his candidacy. As expected, Chuck Todd asked Bernie Sanders about his 43 year old satiric essay he wrote that will be misrepresented by the frivolous corporatist indoctrinating traditional mainstream media.
Chuck Todd started the question with his usual condescension for a certain sect of politicians. "This week you found out what it is like to become a nationally recognized candidate for president and potentially a threat to somebody," said Chuck Todd. "A leaking of an essay you in the seventies for an alternative weekly, you campaign described it as satire. I will be honest with you Senator Sanders, it is uncomfortable read." Todd then went on to quote the most 'controversial' snippet from the essay.
Senator Bernie Sanders' answer was perfect. "This is a piece of fiction that I wrote in 1972 I think," Sanders said. "That was 43 years ago. It was very poorly written. And if you read it what it was dealing with, gender stereotypes. Why some men like to oppress women. Why other women like to be submissive. Something like 50 Shades of Grey, very poorly written 43 years ago."
Sanders then turned the question in a manner that made Chuck Todd's question seem petty. "What I am focusing on right now are the issues impacting the American people today," Sanders said. "And that is what I will continue to focus on. And what the American people want to hear. And by the way, on broader issues, what I think when we talk about issues, Chuck we need a lot more debates in this campaign. I hope very much that we can begin with the Democratic candidates debates as early as early as July and have some Republicans in those debates as well."you can tell when media is leaning to the right they try to use antiquated gotcha questions that really are not significant in today's world, right wing people see it as an issue because their source of red meat says it is but those same persons are the ones who dismiss the the La. republican Steve Scalise who spoke at a kkk gathering in 20002 and he too felt he needed to deny knowing where he was which begs the question what was he talking about if he didn't know they were kkk who from all pictures and video i've seen always have some symbol of identity in direct proximity to where they are.

that said many have past incidents they want to keep buried some more egregious than others. what Mr. Sanders said was true but right wing will try to make it the worst thing ever said about men and women. so do you think it more controversial then what republicans and right wing evangelicals are saying now? remember the contraception answer was put an aspirin between their legs? how about the evangelical charlatan Pat Robertson ministering to his congregation.
