Article PhotoAn interview between MSNBC’s Chris Matthews and Republican Rep. Scott Perry over the government funding showdown got heated, with Matthews closing the interview after accusing Perry of taking a “cheap shot” and saying he’s “in bed” with the oil industry.
The 10-minute interview, which was rife with interruptions and yelling from both men, may have gotten off on the wrong foot from the get-go.
“The Republican Party is a train right now off its rails,” Matthews said to introduce the segment on his show “Hardball” on Thursday night, before asking Perry (R-Pa.) to name another time that Congress has “held up the government” to kill an enacted law.
this guy Perry was using old school right wing playbook on "what to do when you find out you're the deer with the headlights in your eyes",  first he lied, then he got loud, then tried to over talk then tried to turn unsuccessfully the conversation around and questions Matthews, it was so 2008.
At one point, Matthews said, “No, no, no” after each point Perry was making about what matters to the American people. Matthews shot back with Congress’s “8 percent approval rating right now.”
this did not knock the righty of his course and then my favorite that inane smile and laughter like "they now have you where they want you", but in reality he had not answered the question which they all claim they are.
it's a shame that we pay people to act like that when called to task, the only way to let them know it ain't that kinda party is to take away their favors and that $172,000 check.  we can do that Nov. 4th 2014
