An anonymous woman claimed GeorgeZimmerman molested her for nearly 10 years starting when she was 6-years-old and accused his family of being racist, according to new evidence released by prosecutors.
The woman, identified only as Witness 9, made the explosive statements to police in March, a month after Zimmerman shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in a gated community in Sanford, Fla.
In a 27-minute recorded interview released by special prosecutor Angela Corey, the woman says she is related to Zimmerman and that the abuse started when she was 6 and he was 8.
During visits with Zimmerman and his family, the woman said Zimmerman groped, fondled and kissed her and stuck his hands in her underwear.
"We would all lay in front of the TV and we would have pillows and blankets and he would reach under the blankets and try to do things," the woman said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "I would try to push him off, but he was bigger and stronger and older."
"I was a kid. I didn't know any better," she said.
we know when a case is sensationalized in the media all sorts of things crawl out of the cracks when the lights go out, then like bugs they scatter when the light shines on them, not saying i believe or not, in no way am i arguing his case but just pointing out that this happens in those cases that have a lot of exposure.
The woman said she kept quiet about the abuse until 2005, when, at 20, she told her sister what happened.
The woman and her parents confronted Zimmerman at an Orlando-area restaurant, and he told them he was sorry and then left, according to the Sentinel.
"He always was just, you know, very charming and personable with everyone," the woman said. "But he was different behind closed doors with me."
The woman first reached out to authorities in the days after the Martin shooting -- in which Zimmerman has claimed self-defense - and told them he was racist and didn't like black people.
When investigators followed up with her weeks later, the woman told them Zimmerman molested her, telling her interviewers, "This is the first time in my life that I'm not afraid of him."
The woman also reiterated the racist claims, saying Zimmerman's family didn't like black people "if they don't act like white people."
Zimmerman's attorney, Mark O'Mara, had moved to block the release of the woman's statements, but the motion did not reach the court by the 11 a.m. Monday deadline, according to the Herald.
recent stories about his brother will not help either, he's been branded a liar by media and he exudes the same hate and racial attitude as George.
