SANFORD - A jury has been seated and sworn for the second-degree murder trial of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, after more than a week of intensive jury selection in the high-profile case.
The lawyers have selected 10 Seminole County residents -- six jurors and four alternates -- to serve as jurors for a trial which is expected to last two to four weeks, and is sure to be closely watched across the nation.All six of the jurors selected are women, and five are white. The descriptions below, including the age and race or ethnicity of potential jurors, are based on the observations of a reporter in the courtroom.
i'm at a loss don't see why the defense would allow all women you would think barring ulterior motives they would be more able to relate to the family and their loss, but men are too, was it that no male was capable of being fair?
you would think that the defense's thinly veiled effort to poison the jury pool with things not relative to that night and what happened, which can work look at that lady that told McCain she heard Obama was a Muslim, with conviction of thought,
those hearing the right wing and NRA promoting gun use, and because he was Black all the stories they've heard since 1st grade kick in and makes it so, and that is the shameless ploy of his defenders who IMO have no defense, it was almost blow by blow with his conversation with 911 and his comments were that of a aggressor, not afraidy cat.
