Farm bill fails in the House

The House on Thursday voted against the farm bill, handing it a surprising defeat.
The bill failed in the House with 234 members voting against it — 62 Republicans and 172 Democrats — and 195 voting for it, with all but 24 of them being Republicans.
The Senate version of the farm bill passed last week, with 66 senators voting in favor and 27 senators voting against it. The House bill was not the same.
As Wonkblog’s Brad Plumer notes, cuts to food stamps in the House bill wound up being contentious, with Democrats saying they cut too much, and Republicans saying they didn’t cut enough.
did the republicans suddenly have an epiphany along with those dog dino's to let those who are living under the wire of poverty starve and then say they could have let them starve a little more because they didn't cut enough?
you know they would come off a little less reprehensible if they just came out and said they never had any intention to change anything because thOse obnoxious things are their "VALUES".
