actually i, on the surface don't see anything wrong, if they are for those things that are not enviromentally safe then i woud say they are not for you or your family taking another unlabored breath of fresh air.
BOSTON — San Francisco billionaire Tom Steyer is giving Democrats a taste of the divisive, big-spending primary battles that have caused Republicans so much heartburn over the past four years. And he says it’s for their own good. The former hedge fund trader-turned-philanthropist is bankrolling a far-flung political operation pushing environmental causes and candidates, including his pricey effort to torpedo theKeystone XL oil pipeline. He's increasingly drawing scrutiny for trying to take down the Senate candidacy of Massachusetts Rep. Stephen Lynch, a Democrat who has expressed support for Keystone.Steyer is signaling that his efforts against Lynch are just the beginning of an aggressive political expansion that could target Democrats in other races who go against environmental causes.
we are in an extraordinary time in our journey, we have come to the point where no longer are conventional efforts work, so it would seem extraordinay cures are called for,
“This is about consequences,” Steyer told POLITICO during an interview at Boston’s Cathedral Church of St. Paul, after days of meeting with college students, faith leaders, environmentalists and clean energy executives to map out his role in the Senate campaign. “If you have a pattern of voting for subsidies for oil and gas and voting against renewables and all this other stuff … there have to be consequences. That’s the whole point of this exercise.”
this sounds like he's specifically addressing the so called "blue dog dems", at that point i have to say bout time!
if you are a Dem in a red state but feel you have to absorb some of their principles to win, do you really call it a win or appeasement? if that is your circumstance quit or take your shot with the priorities you came in with, if you lose better for your reputation next time.
too many change in those circumstances and end up not what they were most importantly to the voters and sometime their families as well. is it worth it?
