What's going on at "The View"?Joy Behar announced Thursday that she was exiting the show after 16 years, and nowDeadline.com and The Hollywood Reporter are both reporting that Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be the next to go. Us Weekly, who first broke the Hasselbeck news, notes that her ousting came after a market research revealed that she was too conservative for TV audiences.
"The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing," an insider says. "People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed."
i find that a Little peculiar, the other host were fine the couple of times i watched it only because of a guest. i do remember controversy about her a couple of years ago, some kind of conflict with Whoopie, she picked the wrong one to lock horns with.
i do remember not what or why but not particularly being impressed with her. but people IMO don't abandon a show because of one unfavorable.
