and now for today's republican wingnut,
This fellow really ought to run for president someday. Listening to him is like sticking your head two feet into the fever swamp mud and leaving it there. If Americans don’t protect the unborn, they won’t protect people at the end of life either, MikeHuckabee said Wednesday night at a Washington gala sponsored by the anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony List. The former Arkansas governor and one-time presidential candidate said women typically cite hardship or inconvenience as their reason for getting an abortion — the same reasons that he said could be used to justify ending the lives of the elderly.“If we teach the generation coming after us that it’s okay to terminate a human life because it represents a financial hardship or social disruption, what are we telling them?” Huckabee asked.
this guy is the charlatan king, and he's a preacher of sorts /sarc, his beliefs are truly born of the evangelical community who are not like the Christians the Bible teaches IMO not even the same God.
no one called him on literally calling women gov't whores with his uncle sugar rant.
Mind you, this is coming from Mike Huckabee, spokesman for that swath of the Republican base that thinks it should be reasonable to terminate a human life because it represents a financial hardship to their insurance company. They've got a bit of a spotty record on most of the rest of the whole keeping-people-alive front as well—see subsections food, heat, shelterand sub-subsection water supply. But the reason I want Mike Huckabee to run for president is because I want to hear the spirited primary debate between Mike Huckabee, who thinks that continuing to allow abortions will lead naturally to killing off the elderly for financial reasons, and fiscal hawk Paul Ryan, who would seek to prove his own bonafides by opining that maybe killing off the elderly for financial reasons might not be so bad an idea after all, what with the state of Medicare and The Terrible Deficit these days.
there is a certain class of people that can absorb this vitriolic rhetoric of choice and run and tell it and there are those of us who see it as reprehensible view and opinion of women, bad enough the republicans have their war on women but for the evangelicals to fight along side them what are the women doing accepting it as gospel, where is the noise.
to quote Rev Al " lot's of things were acceptable until we stopped accepting them", recognize being quite is tantamount to being what they say you are, are you?
they get away with this stuff because we let them. recognize we started it we can end it as no longer subject to a republican party that hates us.
