House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) admitted on Sunday that nation was a on “path” to defaulting on its debts because President Barack Obama was insisting that Republicans raise the debt limit without including other demands like defunding the health care reform law.
“The debt limit is right around the corner, the president is saying, ‘I want negotiate, I won’t have a conversation,’” Boehner told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. “The nation’s credit is at risk because of the administration’s refusal to sit down and have a conversation.”“They’re saying it’s at risk because of your refusal to pass a clean debt limit,” Stephanopoulos pointed o“We’re not going to pass a clean debt limit increase,” Boehner agreed. “I told the president, there’s no way we’re going to pass one.The votes are not in the House to pass a clean debt limit. And the president is risking default by not having a conversation with us.”
the world has seen Pres. over and over try to speak with them they either refuse the invite or they have other plans like fundraisers or they try to kill it by talking out of school about what the Pres. wants and what they are going to say that negates any collaboration because they have tainted the talk, just like they have been doing with foreign policy sticking their mugs in front of a camera or going abroad and wrecking our image.
“So are you saying that if he continues to refuse to negotiate, the country is going to default?” the ABC host wondered.“That’s the path we’re on,” Boehner warned, later adding that debt ceiling negotiations should include cuts to Social Security and Medicare — and no tax increases.“Very simple. We’re not raising taxes,” he said. “George, I’m ready for the phone call. I’m ready for a conversation. I’ll take anybody on the Democrats’ side who wants to seriously sit down and begin to work out this problem. I’m a reasonable guy.”
are you not tired of the republicans adding things to bills they could not get passed that are destructive to "we the people" like health care then they try to say he won't talk to them, how do you talk to perpetual liars that refuse the existence of their own reality, they are never at fault even when your lying ears and eyes tell you they are. and voting to repeal what they know they can't over and over
they don't want him to be one of if not the best Pres. ever, especially with the trail of reprehensible elephant dung they have left in their wake, and still he keeps OutBamaering them at every turn, they say he leads from the rear than why is he always in front of them?
they still have no plan they spent 5 years of your money trying out different guerrilla tactics to sink him and his admin some might say they failed not only the task but their jobs they made him 24/7 alert to time for the country or "we the people", and that is why their message 5 years ago is as it is today. some would term them "anal retentive" or just aholes.
