MOSCOW (AP) — Syria says it has accepted Russia's proposal to place its chemical weapons under international control for subsequent dismantling.Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem said Tuesday after meeting with Russian parliament speaker that his government quickly agreed to the Russian initiative to "derail the U.S. aggression."Meanwhile, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia is now working with Syria to prepare a detailed plan of action, which will be presented shortly. was this a test of our resolve, or to show we don't have the pull we would like to think we do?
11th hour Russia comes in with a plan that Syria excepts in a matter of hours, we know they have been in conference for a very long time, was this a plan to make us appear incapable of dealing with the mid east or just incapable of dealing with Russia or Syria, we have been dismissed from the table our chair is upturned.
Lavrov said that Russia will then be ready to finalize the plan together with U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.
was this the plan all along to exclude us thereby taking some of the wind out of our sails, or was Kerry and the US a little to bullish and this was a lesson taught that you don't seek compromise by poking the opponent in the chest,
which IMO we have been a little "i dare you" when you don't hold all the cards and you are involving yourself in someone else's business, those those that do hold the cards can slap you down letting you know it ain't your business, was this our lesson?
if so we should also see this as a way out of being the world enforcers and bring it home.
