"VATICAN CITY (AP) — The Vatican on Monday sharply criticized a book on sexuality written by a prominent American nun, saying it contradicted church teaching on issues like masturbation, homosexuality and marriage and that its author had a "defective understanding" of Catholic theology".
"The Vatican last month essentially imposed martial law on the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, accusing it of undermining church teaching and imposing certain "radical feminist themes" that were incompatible with Catholicism".
seems that possibly the republican's and the Bishops have opened a can of worms, with their alliance with the right in suppressing women's rights the denial of contraception needs, ganging up on the Nun's. hard stance on sexual issue's have been backfiring on Catholics forever, 98% of women have at some time used contraception, not just for pregnancy but health issues as well, seems the right and the Catholic hierarchy know better how to deal with women's medical needs then the women themselves.
question, has the Catholic control of the natural procreation process been since it's inclusion in the tenet's, more of a subjugation of women and a desire to improve their number's in the world population?

is the contraception seen as a instrument of disobedience to church law? with such a large amount of discarding of this seems there should be some consideration to reinterpret their stance. current rules don't seem to be best for the parishioner's, especially kid's. please click title
