From the files of "In your face mom for not getting me a BB Gun!", Kenneth Herman, the father of a Clio elementary school student in Michigan, filed a lawsuit this past March.
Kenneth Herman filed the lawsuit Thursday, March 5, in Genesee Circuit Court against the Clio Area School District claiming he was denied access to Edgerton Elementary multiple times while attempting to pick up his daughter because he was open carrying a pistol.
This happened back in the beginning of the 2013 school year. Luckily for Herman, while concealed permits have restrictions like you can't carry them in sports arenas and schools, open-carry laws don't have any of that commie bullshit attached to them. Well, yesterday a judge ruled that having severe insecurities about your manhood was no reason to disallow you from carrying guns into areas populated almost exclusively by young children.
Genesee Circuit Judge Archie Hayman on Monday, Aug. 10, ruled in favor of Kenneth Herman, who filed the lawsuit March 5 in Genesee County Circuit Court against the Clio Area School District after he was denied access to Edgerton Elementary multiple times while attempting to pick up his daughter because he was open-carrying a pistol.
"The ruling today does not come as a surprise, the law is the law," Herman said after Hayman's decision. "Now that Clio Area Schools have heard the ruling, read the laws and the Court of Appeals case law has been explained to them, I they stop burning through tax dollars fighting the law and common sense."
Now, Herman can terrorize schools legally when coming to pick up his daughter. The best part about this is that Kenneth Herman gets to feel like if he comes to pick up his daughter and suddenly the Chinese start dropping paratroops into the recess yard, he will have the ability to take them all on with his trusty firearm. Also, some of the elementary school boys probably want to see Mr. Herman's big gun and he can hold it and show it off to them.
open carry, carry at all in elementary schools allows a few to come in strapped suppose carrier a has a beef with carrier d son being bullied or the kid violates some school rule gets suspended carrier f has a beef with teacher and principal given the fact that those who feel the need to strap the pig iron to their hip and all the bluster that comes with that how long before there's another school fatality and kids don't go home or parents loss, families decimated????
while NRA smiles they got their way and sold a few more guns in the process, wonder what the ratio of those parents who approve and those who care is?????
