Adrian Martin in handcuffs after foot chase

Adrian Martin was the only teen arrested at the Texas pool party. He ran after the now former McKinney Officer Eric Casebolt pulled his weapon on the unarmed teen. This morning McKinney Prosecutors have dropped the charges:
He also announced that his department had dropped the case against 18-year-old Adrian Martin. In the video, Martin is one of two teens who appear to approach Casebolt and then run away when he pulls out his gun.
Police had charged him with misdemeanor crimes of evading arrest and interfering with police. A police report dated Friday says Martin ran from police for two to three minutes before he was caught. Authorities did not charge the other teen or the girl Casebolt pinned to the ground for disobeying him.
In an interview before Casebolt’s resignation Tuesday, Martin said he only wanted to reassure the girl, who goes to school with his brother, that he would call her mother. He said he didn’t mean to infringe on the officer’s space, but his friend bumped into him, knocking him toward Casebolt.
Once he realized he was not being chased by the officer who drew his gun, he immediately surrendered. He praised the other two officers and says he has no plans to sue:
"This could have been yet another tragedy involving a young black male, and we're just thankful that those other officers were out there," Martin's attorney Heath Harris said.
Harris said Martin will not sue the department. Instead, they hope to work with McKinney police and teach youths how to respond to police during an encounter.
i know that our youth needs to be schooled on how to react to someone they may see as their potential murderer days of officer friendly died decades ago and today police reconfirm that fact daily.  my problem is why should we still have to educate Black and Hispanic kids that there is a double standard as far as engaging with police why are police a danger to us????  Black people are not a menace to society or police society and police are a menace to Black people.

stereotypes, old school bogeyman fear mongering and just plain racist bigoted attitudes are what fueled this story as it does many before and many after.  years of embedded rhetoric of hate towards people of color has lost any relevancy as it's passed down today there is no valid response to "why do you hate" only the repetitive rhetoric that is in the red meat troughs they feed and they hate but cannot give you a reason of their own one that an impacted on them and made them indiscriminately hate all people of color. hard to admit that your fellow haters have been brainwashing you and yours for centuries and you still have no personal reason to embrace it.
