this is my home team, i'm plagued with mixed feelings let me see if i can clarify them; Redskin IMO is tantamount to Black, White, Brown and Yellow they are descriptive of a look and they imply race. words like Nigger, Honky, Peckerwood, Wet Back, Buddha Head, Towel heads those too are descriptive of race but with a bigoted and disrespectful implication, designed to belittle and demean for nothing more than racial divisiveness and self elevation by those who use them.
there have been protest at our stadiums by Native Americans but not very many seem not to invoke a real problem could be because of the power structure is not sensitive to racial attacks until now making the climate better and with a concerned Pres. greater possibility of something being done they are right it is now out and being talked about in gov't where it wasn't before.
that said i think they have a point if we deny them we take many steps backward as the republican party would like when all races were fair targets for them. the owner Daniel Snyder's arrogant dismissal serves no good and promotes bigotry whether he or we think it does or not those pin pointed complain they know when they are being victims of bigotry better than Whites know that Blacks feel about "NIGGER". there is my conundrum but i actually think to further race relations and be a United States he should change, all my gear and others if they want to keep it's theirs to do that but a selfish gesture in the face of a country split is hardly justifiable.
