UAW leaders on Friday said they will review all of their legal options and consider challenging the results of a devastating defeat in an election for union representation at Volkswagen's plant in Chattanooga, Tenn. .......UAW President Bob King sharply criticized Tennessee politicians who he said scared workers away from voting in favor of union representation. Going into the election, the UAW thought it had support from a majority of the more than 1,500 workers who had an opportunity to vote. That support began to decline in recent days, mostly because of news conferences held by the state's political leaders who warned that a vote in favor of the UAW would make the state less attractive to other manufacturers and could jeopardize Volkswagen's plans to expand its factory there.
here's Bachmann's gangster gov't again, extortion of Pres., strong arming business, bribing politicians and leaving citizens in fear of their lives and future, sounds all 1920's doesn't it?
she was spot on just a little dyslexic and got the wrong party, no wonder they cant find corruption and fraud they never look in their places of occupancy, then again most can't find both cheeks with both hands.
"We also are outraged by the outside interference in this election. It's never happened before that a U.S. senator, a governor and a leader of the House of Representatives threatened the company and threatened the workers" during a union election, King said Friday night shortly after the votes.
don't know about that but there have been republican politicians trying to dictate to Wash., DC how we should be governed, they did to us what they are doing to Detroit assigned their guy to regulate and dictate no power to the people, ours was because of criminal activity but we had deputy mayor and a city council.. that i think is why they won't grant statehood they commute they would have to pay to come here or Rep. can't vote it's a bone throwing.
