D.C. To Obama: Don’t Mess With “This Town”

http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/political-animal-a/2013_05/dc_to_obama_dont_mess_with_thi044748.php

Well, it doesn’t get much more official than this: an VandeHei/Allen “Behind the Curtain”column announcing that D.C. (“the town”) is “turning on” Barack Obama, and there will be nothing but venom coming from any direction for the foreseeable future:
Republicans have waited five years for the moment to put the screws to Obama — and they have one-third of all congressional committees on the case now. Establishment Democrats, never big fans of this president to begin with, are starting to speak out. And reporters are tripping over themselves to condemn lies, bullying and shadiness in the Obama administration.
Buy-in from all three D.C. stakeholders is an essential ingredient for a good old-fashioned Washington pile-on — so get ready for bad stories and public scolding to pile up.
it's so easy to kick someone that is down you hardly need to lift your foot, this supposed early Christmas present to the right wing was not of their doing initially. i still until i hear otherwise feel it's those he picked were not as much in his corner as thought.
we heard other Black celebrities rag on him IMO for ridiculous things like not getting an invite to the Inaugural Ball, others because they were trying to gin up their audience by complaining about what he hasn't done for Black people, knowing damn well it ain't that kinda house party, mention these were all Black celebrities.
if he had come out trying to rectify the hundreds of years of wrong he would have been shot or impeached within 48 hrs.
Too bad, voters, and all those who have an interest in their federal government doing something constructive; Obama has to have his spanking from “D.C. stakeholders,” so enjoy it or look the other way.
What amazes me the most about this column is the forthright announcement that the MSM are going to make explicit common cause with the GOP:
Obama’s aloof mien and holier-than-thou rhetoric have left him with little reservoir of good will, even among Democrats. And the press, after years of being accused of being soft on Obama while being berated by West Wing aides on matters big and small, now has every incentive to be as ruthless as can be.
we all know that he was under supported first by those who elected him and turned the first time republicans were not slapped down in their attempts to disengage the entire US. some stood behind him others stood closer but few defended the way right wing Blacks defend the republican agenda that does not favor them. the majority expected him to go all Shaft shut your mouth on republicans. hard to do when your own people are not playing in your game.
there was a mass brain washing of the "YES WE CAN" that somehow "let's kick back so he can".
no man is an island unto himself it take two plus millions to get things done, the congress has experienced lowest rating ever but no one does anything to correct this wrong on our country. i know gerrymandering was a rabbit in a hat but where are the WH and DOJ lawyers they should be on nothing but the restoration o0f electorate voting.
