better to be laughed at the next day then to be mourned that night.
Article PhotoApril 22, 2013 (NEW YORK) -- A tube of toothpaste caused a scare at JFK Airport Sunday evening.
Officials evacuated Terminal 4, Concourse B around 4 p.m. after screeners spotted a suspicious item in a bag.
Just before 5:30 p.m., the suspicious package was cleared and was identified as tape and a toothpaste tube.
Travelers were then let back into the terminal.
Last week, New York's LaGuardia Airport was partially evacuated following a report of suspicious wiring. Ron Marsico of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which runs the airport, says wires protruding from a fluorescent light fixture led someone to call authorities last Tuesday morning. That prompted an evacuation of the upper level of the airport's central terminal building.
the only problem bar an actual threat is those who think it's cute to plant say toothpaste or an empty box or luggage, those persons should be subject to at least half the time a real combatant would recieve and fines the cost. that may serve as a deterient.  however most don't plan to get caught which goes to show why death penalty and other capitol crimes are not deterred by thr ones who commit but more so those who think about it first.
those saved deaths i'm sure carry staggering numbers except short of confession we'll never know.
