A series of co-ordinated car bombs and explosions have rocked Shia districts across Baghdad and south of the Iraqi capital, killing dozens of people on the 10th anniversary of the US-led invasion.
Police officials say the attacks, mostly car bombings, targeted mainly small restaurants, groups of labourers and bus stops in the Iraqi capital, all within a one-hour period.Officials say at least 34 people have been killed, with some reports claiming up to 50 dead. It is thought as many as 160 people have been injured.A total of nine car bombs and roadside blasts went off across the capital on Tuesday. A suicide bomber driving a truck also attacked a police base in another predominantly Shia town south of Baghdad, police and hospital sources said.
this will go on and on until those people take responsibility for their own butts. i think they get complacent with their resident suckers the US throwing money that disappears in thin air, while what we were suppose to do actually what were we suppose to do kill Saddam and get oil. guess when you have no plan you only get 1 of 2.
Although no group claimed responsibility for Tuesaday's attacks, Iraq's al-Qaida wing, the so-called Islamic State of Iraq, has vowed to take back ground lost in its long war with the US-led coalition. Since the start of the year the group has carried out a string of high-profile attacks, including the storming of the well-protected Justice Ministry building in central Baghdad on Thursday, killing 25 people.
i know you can't stop every assault especially when you are the middle man in someone else's dispute.
i believe we should put up Pres. defense missile sites and leave both Iraq and Afghanistan, lower the budget even more by no footprints in the sand and let them continue to kill each other until they complete their mission complete devastation of them not our men/women, see how fast they sink or swim regardless to how it would look if we left without victory and vrything went back to what it was, that still and will remain the fault of the Cheney/ Bush regime.
this is not our job or any longer our responsibility we have given enough. if you won't wipe your own nose you are responsible for the snot that dribbles down.
