Jay Smooth (Illdoctrine)
Mitt Romney spoke before the NAACP this week, as many Republican presidential candidates have before him, but cultural critic Jay Smooth says on Illdoctrinethat he didn't do it with the right intentions. Instead of reaching out to black voters, Romney boasted after the speech that he expected the boos he received for his disparaging Obama comments. Then, as the political news cycle zeroed in on Romney's history with Bain Capital, Smooth says Romney's camp threw out the story about possibly choosing Condoleezza Rice as a running mate as a distraction.
the hypocracy of Romney and his party fools only a few, Black and Hispanic voter's are not going to suddenly believe overnight that Romney, who his fellow righty's don't really like for obvious reasons, is going to be the best thing for Black people since before they were brought here.
