the video pretty much gives you the story but my concern is why did the cop feel he had to kill the family pet rather than asking the lady to call him off or restrain him. the dog in the video didn't look that scary. i thought cops were trained in confronting pets surely he had mace or pepper spray or an animal deterrent. there was no need to draw and fire the weapon it was irresponsible and as it turned out potentially deadly and all we get is an investigation is ongoing why it's obvious what happened and to who and who was not in fear of his life and if he was has no business being a cop.
