It's as if the last few weeks of discussion about the Confederate flag, what it stands for, and our nation's sordid history have gone completely unnoticed by Sen. Rand Paul. Which is actually pretty damned likely. He recently spoke in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and attempted to wax philosophical.
"Now you can have some government, we all need government," the Kentucky senator said while discussing Thomas Paine and the role of government at the local public library. "Thomas Paine said that government is a necessary evil. What did he mean by that?"
Paul said he believes that "you have to give up some of your liberty to have government," saying he was "for some government."
"I'm for paying some taxes," continued Paul. "But if we tax you at 100% then you've got zero percent liberty. If we tax you at 50% you are half slave, half free. I frankly would like to see you a little freer and a little more money remaining in your communities so you can create jobs. It’s a debate we need to have."
well it's such a waist all the republican ED he was spreading around to Black audiences he brings the buzz in, slaves he also says he's for less taxes when everyone knows that tax revenue pays for social programs for elderly and poor the republicans know it too we have heard them say many times they want to kill and privatize Medicare and social security this guy like i've been saying is a republican what he's been selling expires the day you vote them back into power.
something else they rant about how we don't need gov't it's too big it suppresses their freedom to do what they want and pollute where they want yet they are spending billions maybe even trillions and lying and selling out the country and those that voted for them to be in control of the same gov't. ask yourself like ACA if it's so bad why are they fighting so insanely hard to either be it (repeal and replace) or compromise it either way the benefit will be in their court.
