So that we're clear, let it be stated for the record that Fox News does not believe in overtime pay or a minimum wage because workers are just a bunch of leeches who are always wanting more.
Except Fox News also thinks people who don't work are leeches too, so I guess that means Fox News just prefers indentured servitude or something worse. I'm sure they think we never had it so good than when employees were working 60-hour weeks with no overtime, because they're going after President Obama's new initiatives with a vengeance.
Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt explained on Wednesday that she was happy that she was not paid overtime when she started her career.
“I was making 20-some-odd-thousand dollars with my first job as a reporter, and I always said yes to everything that they asked me to do,” she recalled. “And that might have been staying until 2 a.m., you just do it because you know that if you are the ‘yes girl’ or ‘yes guy’ then you are just going to continue to excel. And you’re going to get the next raise. And with the next contract, you can ask for more money.”
Co-host Sandra Smith noted that former McDonald’s CEO Ed Rensi had told Fox News that “these jobs are not careers.”
“These are not end-all, be-alls. This should be a path to a greater lifelong career,” Smith opined. “So to say that we need to give these people raises, it’s almost like it would encourage them to stay as an hourly employee flipping hamburgers at McDonald’s.”
okay who fed her that line that has got to be the second most ignorant thing i've heard this week second only to Trump-eting, her relating of her first job shows her to be perfect Fox criteria kind of a " sit down shut up and read what's in front of you" gives new meaning to "dumb blonde".
by her own words she just set the female worker back to the 50's. being a yes anything only gets you under appreciated, under paid and taken complete advantage of, given Fox and right wing opinion of women that could mean anything they wanted.
