The Bankruptcy of Republican Thought Democrats have a legitimate economic agenda. The GOP has ... repeal Obamacare?

In early January, the Center for American Progress (CAP) released a report, co-authored by former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, that outlined policy solutions to the weak economic and wage growth currently in the U.S. Given CAP’s well-known ties to the Clintons—Neera Tanden, the president of CAP, is an adviser for Hillary Clinton’s campaign—the policy recommendations are widely considered to be a preview of Clinton’s domestic agenda.
“There is a need for policy to ensure that growth is broadly shared with employees, not just employers and the owners of firms,” Summers writes, citing income inequality as a key challenge facing the country. The report suggests a number of solutions, including increased infrastructure spending, universal pre-K, raising the minimum wage, and expanding the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC). Some of these solutions are targeted at middle class households, while others are designed to improve the lives of low-income Americans.
In a recent essay at National Review, Ramesh Ponnuru and Yuval Levin sum up the report thus:
The bad news for conservatives is that, although the progressive agenda outlined in the report is not well suited to the circumstances and challenges of contemporary American life, it is designed for political appeal and may well have some. The good news is that, by applying their principles to the core problems Americans now face, conservatives could readily outline an agenda that would both do more to strengthen economic growth and opportunity in America and be more attractive to the public.
this is not something we haven't known about it is perpetual and the republican agenda does not include strengthening the American economy to do that would require considering we the people as deserving of our share of their profits because contrary to the republican rant against Pres. when he rightfully pointed out that they the rich and those that help them get that way "did not build it by themselves" they didn't they had employees they had those before them paving the way and most important they had those who patronize those businesses that made it all possible.

but republican used it as a rally point to turn business against Pres. with a false sense of indignation and the audacity to actually think they were all it took the help and the patrons well just collateral assist to their individual efforts.  i saw this on CNN yeah me and CNN who knew? a series called the sixties this particular ep 9 was called " the times they are a changin" although i was aware that the republican dynamic has never changed i say so throughout this blog watching this episode brought it all back in a more focused way.

i'd like to share with you it's an hour long but if you are interested well worth the time.  it also gives some clarity as to why for going on 7 years the republicans have forsaken their constituencies all in the name of taking down a duly elected first in history Black President while trying to obliterate the liberal  ideals that serve the people not the corporations.
