Originally this story was presented as a case of "unruly, trespassing kids" when video of McKinney Texas police chasing, verbally abusing a group of black kids who were attending a pool part after Officer Eric Casebolt was suspended for wrestling an unarmed teenage girl in a bikini to the ground. This was the initial statement from the McKinney Police Dept.
Pool Party Incident:On June 5, 2015 at approximately 7:15 p.m., officers from the McKinney Police Department responded to a disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool. The initial call came in as a disturbance involving multiple juveniles at the location, who do not live in the area or have permission to be there, refusing to leave. McKinney Police received several additional calls related to this incident advising that juveniles were now actively fighting.
But that wasn't what really happened.
It appears that this situation wasn't because of a "fight" started between a group of "unruly" black kids - the fight actually started when a white couple came into an ongoing party of classmates and kids who all lived in the area to verbally abuse them with racial slurs ("black fuckers"), insulted them ("go back to your section 8 housing"), and slapped the teenage girl who hosted the party after she tried to defend a 14-year-old white girl who was also at the party and had stood up to them.
Then those people left and called the police on the party claiming the black kids were fighting each other, so of course then this happens...
The Cops show up to attack and abuse the kids who were invited to the party and who had been previously attacked and insulted by the people who called the cops in the first place because they supposedly "weren't where they belonged".
Welcome to Texas.
wonder how many wrongs were started by the intolerance of White people throughout history too bad there was no way to know it really would have made it difficult to continue the farce that racially motivated assaults and killings were the real farce. media sniffing for sensationalism thought it more profitable to keep the racial battle lines in place and blame the in their heads "usual suspects" for the disturbance painting them as invaders to that world.
we have been relegated to the standard cause for anything that police are called for so armed with that bigotry and guns the police come in looking for the ones of color as the first ones they must get under control. if not done fast enough like split second than you run the risk of maiming or murder, evidenced by the news that we actually hear about who knows what we don't hear, are you not tired of a White cop standing over, knee in back, foot on neck, choking, shooting in the back of a Black person???? obviously they are not and it's still open season 365 days 24/7. recognize while some cheer and high five the atrocity they know who they are and so do we.
