Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank introduced new head coach Dan Quinn, fresh off the plane from Phoenix, on Tuesday. And after the requisite excited-to-be-here's from Quinn, talk turned to the ongoing investigation of the Falcons regarding allegations of faked crowd noise at the Georgia Dome.
Blank was unequivocal, saying he was "angry and embarrassed" that the NFL is looking into whether Atlanta piped in crowd noise to impact play during Falcons home games over the last two seasons. He acknowledged wrongdoing, telling the AP "I think what we've done in 2013 and 2014 was wrong."
The NFL is expected to issue the results of its investigation in the next few weeks. "We cooperated fully" with the investigation, Blank said. "We certainly support the integrity of the league, the integrity of fair competition and the integrity of the shield," he said. "We are not happy about it."is this becoming a trend has professional sports began to be to big to follow the rules? with mega millions in the jackpot and others doing things to enhance and those trying to catch up in order to compete is not only endangering the players but the future of sports that are affected. we believe what we want i guess by which team or player we like that is wrong i think we've lost the original goal "may the best man/woman/team win" now it's beginning to be whoever gets a way with it wins.
like all else in this world it's all about the Benjamin's sky high salaries and bonuses drive the game for many not the love of the game. there was a bounty thing going on maybe still where players were paid a bonus to take opposing players who represented a problem out of the game and preferably the season. not against anybody getting as much as they can for their worth but when it becomes something else it's time to rethink where this will end nobody getting anything because the games are shutdown because of rampant cheating?
