GOP lawmakers were quick to demonstrate their antipathy toward the rights of American women. ThinkProgress:
On Tuesday, the very first day of the 114th Congress, two lawmakers introduced a measure to ban abortions after 20 weeks, in direct violation of the protections afforded under Roe v. Wade. Reps. Trent Franks (R-AZ) and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) reintroduced the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, the same legislation that successfully passed the House last year.
Just FYI, this measure is blatantly unconstitutional and completely undermines the ability of women to make critical healthcare decisions with their doctors.
And no credible research has found that fetuses feel pain at 20 weeks, as the bill claims. In fact, the American Medical Association has found exactly the opposite.
the party platform as stated by the guys who speak for them the reaching out the new big tent all gets torched by flamethrowers like this guy who come out and repeat the real republican agenda all the Kumbaya rhetoric has to be rebuked so as to keep their base so every time the claim to be reaching out a whack a mole pops up and spews the real republican agenda no matter how humane one of them might sound they cannot pull it off because the party and the base are not of a humane frame of mind, guns, hate and bigotry btw they are pushing to make this part of the curriculum for school kids, companion to their tea party summer indoctrination camps.
