According to deadbeat rancher Cliven Bundy, when he and armed supporters confronted federal agents, God was responsible for the lack of bloodshed:
"If the standoff with the Bundys was wrong, would the Lord have been with us?" Bundy asked, noting that no one was killed as tensions escalated. "Could those people that stood without fear and went through that spiritual experience … have done that without the Lord being there? No they couldn't."Basically, then, he's arguing that the Lord was working through the federal government, since it was the Bureau of Land Management's decision to back down that prevented deaths. Certainly Bundy and his supporters were primed to start shooting, or even a war, as Bundy himself says—again crediting God:
Bundy also cited personal inspiration from God in establishing his course of action.let me say this first these people cannot believe in God their racist ideology negates that their irreverence to life confirms that remember the snipers hiding and taking aim who were they hiding from not God they were hiding from those they intended to kill for their own illegal defense of the indefensible, Bundy has broken the law was in debt to the government for decades defying them when you are wrong and know it does not give the right to reinterpret the law to make your crime against "we the people" any less. their language, ats and position are more of a Godless intent like that supported by republicans who btw came to their defense also.
"The Lord told me ... if (the sheriff doesn't) take away these arms (from federal agents), we the people will have to face these arms in a civil war. He said, 'This is your chance to straighten this thing up,'" Bundy said.
