Ari Melber points out a movement in Congress to grant citizenship to a Revolutionary War hero who died 200 years go, and points out that Congress has failed to move the ENLIST Act to make military service a path to citizenship for actual living people.
this is a a slap in the face by congress to award honorary citizenship to a 268 year old immigrant for serving this country but allowing Eric Cantor to block the same distinction to those veteran immigrants and those serving now. is it because he looks more like them or just the status quo they don't want potential Progressive voters to be able to vote?
