For 25 years the United States has had a ban on guns which cannot be detected with metal detectors. Every gun manufactured in the U.S. is required to contain some metal, so that it is detectable by law enforcement and security personnel.
On December 9th, 2013 that decades old ban is set to expire. If that is allowed to happen, for the first time since 1988, guns made of undetectable materials will be legal in this country. This would increase the danger presented to law enforcement officials, judges, politicians and government workers, as well as the general public.
well there is no question that a push by NRA and affiliates are on there way to a TV near you, surprised they haven't come out of the cracks yet or is there another reason for the silence on the loud bang of the gun laws?   there is cause for worry after all they are the do nothing congress except things that are not good for the country like not renewing the ban is doing nothing.
While two bills to renew the 1988 Undetectable Firearms Act have been introduced at the federal level, neither bill has gained a great deal of support in the House or Senate.

New technology makes it possible for criminals to print undetectable weapons in the comfort of their own homes.

On November 15th, Attorney General Eric Holder issued a statement urging lawmakers to renew the ban. Holder pointed to the dangers presented by 3-D printing technology, which could allow users to print unlimited numbers of undetectable guns.
Plastic guns, which can be made using 3-D printing technology, would be undetectable on metal detecting equipment. These guns could be brought into court rooms, government buildings, carried onto airplanes and smuggled in and out of the country, undetected.
with all the reasons why this is not a good idea for those of reason it is just as good a deal for those enthusiast and the NRA and manufacturers.  those who have lowered the bar on human life.

Gun fanatics say “Good f*ing luck” renewing the ban.

Still gun lobbyists and gun rights fanatics fail to care about who is and isn’t put in danger. In fact, an owner of Defense Distributed, a group that claims to want to “democratize firearms manufacturing,”responded to proposed legislation that would renew the ban, by saying “good f*cking luck” in getting it passed.
how are we going to deal with this, because we will have to deal with it as long as the right wing is in power in congress, if they are not then this won't be as immediate a problem, but sooner or later the right wing radicals will be able to fool or bribe enough people to be back legislating against you and this country. are you willing to fight for you and your family?
