Anyone with even a casual knowledge of the history of the Christian religion (as well as other Abrahamic religions) knows that it is historically misogynist. However, in modern times, most branches at least attempt to mask that inherent sexism. Not the Mormons, though. They do many things that are blatantly sexist, and here is yet another example of sexism against Mormon women.
Mormon women banned because they’re women.
This past Saturday, a group of about 150 female members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (LDS) were told that they were not welcome to attend an all male priesthood conference. The Mormon women, members of a group called Ordain Women, along with their male supporters, marched from a rally at City Creek Park in Salt Lake City, Utah to the Tabernacle on Temple Square, where the Priesthood Session of LDS General Conference, where, one by one, they were told that they were not allowed to enter. The reason? Because they are women.
have you noticed the religions that lean to the right have this glaring radically bigoted ideology. they all support those things that are inclusive of all of Gods children.
especially Women and Blacks and Hispanics, Mormons just created their own bible, evangelicals usurped the King James, their ministers say really hateful bigoted and uninformed things the meaner the more cheering,
one needs the other the congregation needs the red meat the ministers need to feed and that third wheel the republican party reaps all the benefits.
LDS spokesperson Ruth Todd said of Ordain Women, which was formed to advocate for the allowance of Mormon women into the Priesthood:Millions of women in this church do not share the views of this small group who organized today's protest, and most church members would see such efforts as divisive. So, in the weird little world that the officials of the LDS church live in, it is divisive to demand to be treated equally? No, Ms. Todd, it is not. Equality is the order of the times, in case you haven't noticed. It is this blatantly sexist policy that the Church adheres to that is divisive.
Jesus favored Mary Magdalene over the disciples with seeing him after he had risen and charged her with spreading the word, is this the bases for the hatred ow woman in the middle east as well as America, are they teaching from the wrong Bible?
