Police in New Orleans confirmed that at least 12 people — including a 10 year old girl — were shot by as many as three gunmen on Sunday afternoon during a parade to celebrate Mothers’ Day.
Though none of the victims appeared to suffer life-threatening injuries, police spokesman Ronald Serpas said that three or four victims were admitted to local hospitals for surgery. Authorities say that three possible suspects were seen running from the scene. One of them was identified as a male between the ages of 18 and 22.
A reporter for the Times-Picayune was participating in the parade, and reported hearing six or seven gunshots. According to police, at least two different types of guns were likely used by the shooters.
wonder what excuse these guys will have, both were crazy, this is getting to really be too much i think the NRA could quell a lot of the violence by acting like they give a damn, and denounce the random use of guns to hurt masses of people.
being a bad shot is why we don't need everybody armed, especially teachers, i'm sure NRA would view more dead kids as collateral damage while that good guy with a gun misses their target
