GOP Rep. Charles Boustany Floats Obamacare Voter Registration Ploy

Article Photohe who knows not suspects not, that said this is and has been a right wing ploy forever more so known now do to their arrogance and lightning quick news cycles.  they do the dirt then try to kick it on Pres.'s shoes.
A senior Republican congressman is seeking answers from the Obama administration on why the draft application form for Obamacare benefits asks if the applicant wants to register to vote.
The White House has said it’s simply following a 1993 law called the National Voter Registration Act, which seeks to let people register to vote when applying for social services.
But that hasn’t satisfied Rep. Charles Boustany (R-LA), the chairman of the House Ways and Means Oversight Subcommittee, who floated the possibility that the Obama administration, in its implementation of the law, is scheming to make people think they must register to vote in order to receive federal subsidies to buy insurance under the Affordable Care Act.
“The position of the question [on the Obamacare application form] could lead some to think voter registration is somehow tied to subsidy eligibility,” Boustany wrote this week in a letterto the Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius. He demanded to know what justification HHS has for asking that question and sought a list of documents, including the names of all officials responsible for drafting and approving the form, by April 8.
he must mean like those voter fraud billboards they placed in democratic neighborhoods to frighten voters away from the polls, their only precedence was Mr. James Crow. Pres. has the 1993 national voter registration acts law, so dismissed.
The question, asked on page 59 of the 61-page draft application, is, “Would you like to register to vote?” If the applicant says yes, they will be sent a voter registration form. Nothing in the application states that registering to vote is a requirement, but Boustany wrote to Sebelius that he’d like to clear up “possible misunderstandings about applicant requirements related to voter registration” that could arise from the form.
really bad attempt to plant blame using their clandestien tactics, if i might quote Rev. Al , "nice try but we got you".
