Obama Says He Won't Apologize To Mitt Romney Over Aide's Bain Comments

WOLFEBORO, N.H. — Mitt Romney's campaign said Sunday that President Barack Obama is willing to say anything to win a second term and should say he's sorry for attacks on the Republican's successful career at a private equity firm. "No, we will not apologize," the president responded, adding that if Romney wants credit for his business leadership, he also needs to take responsibility.
Questions about Romney's tenure at Bain Capital and the fortune he earned there have dogged the former Massachusetts governor as Obama and his allies have said the Boston-based firm shipped jobs overseas. Romney insists he left the company in February 1999 to take over the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, but documents suggest he was still in charge as late as 2001.
"He actually retired retroactively at that point," Romney adviser Ed Gillespie said. "He ended up not going back to the firm after his time in Salt Lake City. So he was actually retired from Bain."
Ed Conrad, a former Managing Director at Bain Capitol, explained that Bain was run by a management committee after Romney left because his transition was so sudden, they didn't have time to find a replacement during his appearance on MSNBC's Up with Chris Hayes.  "It was a management committee running Bain, to try to transition from Mitt to a new structure," Conrad explained. "It took several years for us to sort out how to put the management team in place—there was a management team in place already—but for example we had to negotiate with Mitt because he was an owner of the firm, he’d created a lot of franchise value, and we were going to pay him for that," he said.
Conrad explained he couldn't remember exactly how involved Mitt was with Bain, but he was mostly absent until his "retroactive" retirement in 2002. "It was ten years ago, so can I remember every single meeting? No," he said. "But I remember that Mitt was gone. We had a management team that was working hard to manage the company. We had to negotiate the terms of Mitt’s departure, and in fact everybody’s departure at that time, and it was difficult to get any time for Mitt to even get him and his attorneys to do that, because he was so busy working on the Olympics."
"RETROACTIVELY"   c'mon that's the best they can come up with?
they are saying that "we the people" don't care about Romney's confusion about his inactivity with Bain, they are only speaking to that fringe of those they under inform not the rest of America, are you not tired of their false reference's to what "YOU" think or want? they are only in touch with what corporate bosses tell them. ask your friends and relatives if they want what the right is telling them they want, see what the answer is. they need to apologize to America for what they have and are trying to do now! FRAUD? yeah there is fraud only on the right side of the street.
