Dems Rescue Boehner: Congress Averts Shutdown For One Week

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/dc/congress-averts-dhs-shutdown-one-week

I51ww9lfspy6mr76qybd

Democrats bailed out House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) from a predicament on Friday by helping him pass a bill to avert a shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security. For one week.
The drama exploded when the House flamed out Friday afternoon by failing to pass a bill to fund DHS for a mere three weeks. The stunning failure of the GOP leadership's bill created uncertainty over DHS funding, prompting President Barack Obama to convene a meeting with key officials to brace for a shutdown.
The Senate acted first to approve a one-week "continuing resolution" to keep DHS funds flowing at existing levels. The measure was passed by a voice vote, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) subsequently adjourned the chamber until Monday afternoon.
The House went next, approving the one-week bill by an overwhelming 357-60 margin just two hours before the deadline, and sending the bill to Obama for his signature.
Before the vote, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) wrote a letter to Democrats urging them to support the legislation.
the ones that got in on fluke of stay homers and vowed to show us how they can govern better than Dems who they now are coming to hat in hand begging for our helping them once again kick the can down the road you remember they used to accuse Pres. of that when they blocked him and couldn't go further because of them.  they filibustered did all sort of anti Obama things and when we take a page from their book they cry foul?

FYI they lied this is no way to run a gov't or the country they are jumping around from thing to thing like Gangnam style and getting still nothing done, without us and we in the interest of country and people bought them a week to get it done a year and a half they should only be two pages away from a good clean bill, or will they kick it again?  this video if you look close it can depict the way things have been going with republicans, and now another work break

Media Matters/Guardian: O'Reilly Lies about L.A. Riots Exposed

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/26/1367209/-Media-Matters-Guardian-O-Reilly-Lies-about-L-A-Riots-Exposed?detail=email

From Media Matters:
The Guardian reports that six of Bill O'Reilly's former colleagues dispute the embattled Fox News host's claim that he and his crew were "attacked by protesters" during the 1992 Los Angeles riots.
O'Reilly covered the riots, which took place after several LAPD officers were acquitted on charges they used excessive force against Rodney King, while serving as the host of Inside Edition. In a February 20 interview with conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt, O'Reilly claimed that during the riots, "We were attacked, we were attacked by protesters, where bricks were thrown at us." In a 2006 interview, O'Reilly said, "They were throwing bricks and stones at us. Concrete was raining down on us. The cops saved our butts that time."
Several of O'Reilly's former Inside Edition colleagues -- "reporters Bonnie Strauss, Tony Cox and Rick Kirkham, and crew members Theresa McKeown, Bob McCall and Neil Antin" -- disputed O'Reilly's characterization of the event and suggested he was exaggerating an incident where the crew was confronted by a single man.
According to The Guardian, "Two of the team said the man was angered specifically by O'Reilly behaving disrespectfully after arriving at the smoking remains of his neighbourhood in a limousine, whose driver at one point began polishing the vehicle. O'Reilly is said to have shouted at the man and asked him: 'Don't you know who I am?'"
“The guy lost it,” said McKeown. Enraged, he is said to have leapt on to the team’s flatbed trailer and kicked over a light, before throwing the piece of rubble, which smashed the camera and an autocue screen. Antin said he restrained the man. But O’Reilly then continued taunting him while a producer stood between them. “Come on, you wanna take me? I’ll take you on,” O’Reilly is said to have shouted at him.
looks like nobody liked bilo he can't get a confirmation from nobody guess they have sense enough to know it's documented and a lie wound be exposed and their credibility loss because of lying for him.  he is turning into that character on get smart, Maxwell Smart famous for exaggeration when challenged he would say "would you believe"  check out the link,

Texas legislature celebrates ban on gay marriage with traditional bigotry cake

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/25/1366758/-Texas-legislatures-celebrate-ban-on-gay-marriage-with-traditional-bigotry-cake?detail=email

Texas legislatures cutting a cake in celebration of gay marriage ban

Lt. Governor Dan Patrick led the celebration as Texas lawmakers rallied against equality:
"We need you as an army behind us to stand for life, to stand for marriage, to stand just for the constitution and to stand for what the people have decided to do, it's not that complicated," said Patrick.
The rally was in support of Texas House Bill 623, which would prohibit state employees from receiving salary, pension, other other employment benefits if they issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples.
They were also celebrating an important moment in Texas history:

The nine grassroots groups who organized the rally brought wedding cake, a symbol of the 10-year ban on gay marriage in Texas, passed in 2005. The director of Equality Texas said the political landscape has changed dramatically since then.

As Christopher Hooks at the Texas Observer notes, they just can't let it go:
In some ways, it was still 2005 in the room. The Texas Eagle Forum’s Cathie Adams introduced state Rep. Cecil Bell (R-Magnolia), who opened with a joke. “I always take a picture of the audience,” he told the crowd, pulling out his phone, to prove to his wife that he is where he said he would be. After all, “it’s until death do us part, and it’s me she was talking about killing.” Traditional marriage, you see, is the bond between a man and his nagging wife.
The event was organized by Jonathan Saez, the president of the anti-gay group Texas Values. You may remember Saez—he was most recently in the news when his wife filed for divorce and left him for a woman.

poetic justice or what, railing against same sex marriage and his own was the poster for how his hetero marriage was a farce and now he only has the rest of the hater's club to comfort him, that's so sad the object of his ire born of bigotry was what brought him down to all by himself.  sad for him but poetically correct for me he lived by it and was taken out by it.  wonder who he hates the most the wife, her friend, or those that are same sex and happily married at home with their spouses or least likely himself?

Pittsburgh man writes police chief after witnessing police brutality and seeing immediate coverup

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/27/1367284/-Pittsburgh-man-writes-police-chief-after-witnessing-police-brutality-sees-immediate-coverup?detail=email

The blood of Devon Davis, covering the snow on the Pittsburgh streets after being brutally beaten by Pittsburgh police
Earlier this week Pittsburgh, PA resident Samm Hodges bore witness not only to an extreme case of police brutality, but the quick coverup and lies that police often spin to cover their tracks. So disturbed by what he saw, he wrote this letter to the Pittsburgh Chief of Police Cameron McLay, who became a viral hit himself after holding up a sign stating that white silence to racism needs to end.
My name is Samm Hodges. Me and my family have been living here in Pittsburgh for 8 years. Our house is on Federal St, and we really really love this city.
Today, I saw something which horrified me. I work downtown at First and Market. I was leaving with a friend of mine to get coffee when we saw and heard sirens. Suddenly, a young black man who I now know as Devon Davis ran within yards of us, being chased by police officers with guns drawn. He was almost immediately tackled by between 6 and 12 officers. A whole swarm, I didn’t count.
But then, as he lay pinned to the ground, the officers began beating him viciously with batons while yelling to ‘stop resisting.’ He wasn’t resisting, and he kept saying ‘I’m not doing anything.’ They beat him for a long time and when they were done, he was laying in a pool of his own blood with what news reports say is a broken leg. I was only 30 yards away. The had to carry him to the police van.
The official statement from the office of Public Safety is quoted in the Post Gazette and Trib Live says that "they found him severely injured in a pool of blood."
That’s completely not true. He was tackled and then beaten severely while pinned to the ground by a whole swarm of officers. I saw him running very quickly, his leg was not broken prior to being tackled. Then he was tackled and beaten viciously in the legs. Then he had to be carried away. There was no blood on the ground where he had been running before. He had no limp before.
I know that you won’t stand for this kind of dishonesty and brutality. I’m very shaken up by what i saw, and I lost a lot of respect for the men and women I trust to keep me and my family safe. Please make this right. I am willing to testify or do whatever it takes to see justice is served.
first this guy was very brave or so incensed we was thinking clearly, if rogue like cops are beating a citizen like a gang assault then to give his name and address i can only pray for his family's safety.  there is never an excuse for horrendous beatings of non combative's especially by double digit assailants that is the way the the KKK did it in gangs.

some will say we don't know what happened before they caught him, i say to violently beat someone in plain sight of other citizens is a disregard for human life and a rearing of that proverbial maniac cop beat down squad.  i hope they follow up with the proceedings and decisions.  the chief held this sign up, guess he was the one to go to but we have seen police when called out on their overkill and brutality they turned their backs on their boss the mayor.  so we don't know how much pull he has and can exert to corral his officers.

Bill O'Reilly: Actual dead nuns, pictures of dead nuns ... what's the difference?

Bill O'Reilly in the truth-tellers' corner with Donald Trump.

If you hear someone say "I was in El Salvador and I saw nuns get shot in the back of the head" or "I've seen guys gun down nuns in El Salvador," what do you think he's saying? Does it seem reasonable to you to believe that he's saying he, personally, has seen nuns be shot in the head while he was in El Salvador?
According to O'Reilly, it's okay that he wasn't telling the truth because he didn't lie in the specific context of reporting on El Salvador ... or because any reasonable listener would know that he was talking about having seen pictures of murdered nuns in El Salvador ... or something:
“While in El Salvador, reporters were shown horrendous images of violence that were never broadcast, including depictions of nuns who were murdered,” he said. “The mention of the nuns on my program came the day of the Newtown massacre.” [...]
“The segment was about evil and how hard it is for folks to comprehend it,” O’Reilly added. “I used the murdered nuns as an example of that evil. That's what I am referring to when I say, ‘I saw nuns get shot in the back of the head.’ No one could possibly take that segment as reporting on El Salvador.”
okay guess all us unreasonable thinking people should be glad we are not one of his "FOLKS" because some of them will believe him they have been conditioned to not hear anything not favorable to bilo's image which they defend rabidly.  i had someone in my house recently who was Black and republican they defended Fox by saying "people like them because they tell the truth", case closed.

you can't lie then self-excuse your own lie to make your guilt exceptable however it is a Fox protocol to correct you lies if called out on them with more lies, hmmmmm did he right that rule?  i don't feel sorry for his folks as they are being given the opportunity to to reclaim any sense of self and thought, will they take it?????  in that picture at the top be sure looks beat down i really did not recognize it to be him till i read the caption. boy it is really biting him or is he developing a conscious, will he amit to the "FOLKS" he's been zoomin' them?

Yup, the GOP is f'd with young people

Pew Research polling chart showing cratering support for the GOP among millennials.
This isn't self-IDd ideology. Pew "used a scale based on 10 political values questions about the role of government, the environment, homosexuality and other issues to measure ideological consistency." The results are clear: on the issues, liberalism is ascendant.
The obvious bottom line: the GOP is totally screwed if it doesn't learn how to court young voters. Yet here is the CPAC session today on reaching out to young voters:
Picture of CPAC session on young voters showing a near-empty room

Yeah, good luck with that, particularly when your message is one of bigotry, higher student loan fees, and outright hostility to sex.
But there's more! You can see the GOP's death spiral in action, as each successive generation is less Republican, and more Democratic, than the previous one. That's demographic destiny, and while it doesn't guarantee progressive governance in the future, it means our job is much easier than theirs.
This chart also shows the death of the conservative Democrat, down to three percent of millennials. And what is that, a resurgence of the liberal Republican? A surprising 17 percent of Republican millennials are "mostly liberal." Given the large sample size (over 10,000 respondents), this isn't a statistical aberration. There really are a bunch of young Republicans who are more liberal than they realize because they don't hate on gays, African Americans, immigrants, the poor, or the environment.
they realize this is happening just like the demographics are coming making them the new minority, but you will never hear it on Fox or the new MSNBC/GOP.  this IMO is why they are trying to insert as many haters in key positions making key laws that serve their agenda and taking away the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness from American citizens and bestowing it on the rich and the corporation people.

they offer nothing they are teaching children how to be subservient to their party and ideology and how not to think for yourself but how to obey.  bottom line regardless to the hate taught at home the kids are out there and interact with other kids not White and there is no animosity or racism, lyrics from the message grand master Flash song the message, "a child is born with no state of mind blind to the ways of mankind", God Bless those who are molded with hate.

House Speaker John Boehner does something so strange in response to serious question from reporter

Takeaway Washington Correspondent Todd Zwillich asked Speaker John Boehner about what he was going to do when he received the clean bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security that was coming from the Senate. Mr. Zwillich is pointed and asks:
With respect to you Mr. Speaker, your answers about what you are going to do are the same as yesterday. Mitch McConnell has said exactly what he is going to do, you know exactly what you are going to get–it's going to be a clean DHS funding bill. Are you going to put it on the floor? Are you gonna kill it? Are you going to let them vote on it? Have you even had this discussion?
As he finishes the last line Boehner starts making kissing sounds at him and smiles, as people laugh (both genuinely and uncomfortably), and then says:
"When they make decisions I'll let you know."
how many times have we heard the republicans say that Pres. was not serious or he needs to be serious?  well he Beohner has either flew into the cuckoo's nest from the side or he's entering a don't ask don't tell zone.  something as serious as the security of America especially in light of recent attacks around the world and threats to us he's more worried about threats to Israel than us.

they for years claimed Pres. couldn't keep us safe only they could they rant about the borders, and saber wave at every mid east actions, he invites Netanyahu who colludes with him to disrespect the Pres. but now makes kissy faces at reporters on nat'l TV and international net.  begs the question who's really not serious, ui posed this question a few years ago in another post looks like republicans are stuck in a groundhog like situation where it's SSDD everyday.

end runs around the Pres. only work if he is wrong and not doing anything and the end runners must know what they are doing and not making it up on the fly.

UPDATED! Poll Added! Scott Walker's ISIS gaffe causes explosion of mocking images

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/26/1367228/-Scott-Walker-s-ISIS-gaffe-causes-explosion-of-mocking-images?detail=email

UPDATED 2/27/2015 with more memes and a sobering video at the end.
Earlier today, when asked about ISIS, presidential hopeful and current Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker said that his response to the peaceful labor protests in Madison in 2011 prepared him to stamp out international terrorism. Apparently that means that in case of a terrorist attack he would sneak in and out of the White House via a not-so-secret rat tunnel and consult on the phone with bloggers pretending to be billionaire David Koch.
Even the National Review called his response "awful."
Asked about ISIS, Walker responded, “If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the globe.”
that remark suggest that he was viewing the WI. American citizens as evil terrorist in order to make that comparison making him the real terrorist with his own Koch Jihadi, no place in American WH for terrorist we don't negotiate or elect or vote for them. recognize
That is a terrible response. First, taking on a bunch of protesters is not comparably difficult to taking on a Caliphate with sympathizers and terrorists around the globe, and saying so suggests Walker doesn’t quite understand the complexity of the challenge from ISIS and its allied groups.
Naturally, the "terrorists" in Wisconsin have unleashed a counterattack - in the form of a super-satirical barrage of photo memes.
you know for him and anybody else who thinks what he did to the voters in WI. was anything but strong arm big money goons and bought gov acting on the one's who bought him orders he is a Koch whore and looks to be proud of it.  if you sell out your constituents to the highest bidder only the audacity of arrogance that afflicts those on the right in it for power and money allows him to think that his pimps can buy the presidency and we the people, he thinks very little of those he seeks to control for those same pimps under the guise of president.

i don't know about the rest of you but i didn't volunteer 49 years ago to serve a country that is being controlled by the very threat it sent us to war over the taking over of this country by those not elected and subject to whatever they decide to make as law we called it communism back then now we call it oligarchy.  they are buying his loyalty if you can still call it that if it has a price.  get him in the WH so he can leave the backdoor unlocked and they the Koch cartel can gain access anytime.

Senate fails to advance bill blocking Obama immigration order

http://news.yahoo.com/senate-fails-advance-bill-blocking-obama-immigration-order-170417852--business.html

U.S. President Obama arrives for MSNBC/Telemundo town hall discussion on immigration at Florida International University in Miami

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A stand-alone U.S. Senate bill to block spending on President Barack Obama's November 2014 immigration order failed to clear a procedural vote on Friday after the provisions were stripped from a Department of Homeland Security funding bill.
The 57-42 vote failed to achieve the 60 majority necessary to advance to final passage, despite attracting the support of four Democrats.  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell immediately filed a motion to keep the bill alive for future consideration as Republicans in Congress try to continue their efforts to block Obama's executive orders lifting the threat of deportation from millions of undocumented immigrants.
these guys are really making themselves look like losers who always think the next attempt of the same thing will be the charm well here's an FYI for them if you couldn't take away healthcare after 56 tries using the same game not likely you'll be able to do it with any other agenda to screw we the people.  i think more on the right are seeing the idiocy of their endeavors and don't want to be on the wrong side of history by catering to the party of stupid's idea that they can throw millions of Americans many for the first time under the insurance company bus and still take the WH in 2016 they must be hitting their stash of good drugs from the 60's.

Behold The White Freakout Over A College Class On 'The Problem Of Whiteness'

Officials at Arizona State University probably weren't expecting the full Stormfront treatment when its English department advertised a spring semester class exploring the "problem of whiteness."
But that's exactly what the university got. The floodgates opened in late January after an ASU journalism student complained on Fox News that the class singled out white people as "the root cause of social injustices for this country." Neo-Nazi types and white supremacists then reportedly threatened the white professor who was teaching the course, Lee Bebout. They publicly shared his personal contact information and flooded message boards with menacing rants against him.
TPM recently spoke with the leader of a white nationalist group that's leading the charge against the "problem of whiteness" class, an effort they have dubbed "Operation Bad Teacher." The leader of the group, Angelo John Gage, argued that Bebout’s course was “racist” and a sign of what he said was the increasing oppression of white people in the U.S. He insisted on speaking to TPM via Skype because he said he wasn't comfortable giving his phone number to people he didn't know.
He also insisted that his group was not the one behind the threats to the professor.
i do not believe the majority of White people are the problem just those in this article objecting and the republican politicians that provoke and incite them.  White people know who causes trouble for them look whose at the head of the denial that small section of tea people and radicals and supremacist are what keeps the bigotry and racism alive.  i must say those who are not directly hands on are still complicit just like the Black and Hispanics that don't speak up silence is only golden to the one's that are harbinger's of hate, it's a pass go card.  his group not being behind threats well that jury is still out, maybe that wasn't the best response juries of late side with the racist killers.

Rush Limbaugh Conspiracy Theory: NYC ISIS Arrests A Ploy To Push Net Neutrality, Ban Gun Ammunition

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/02/26/rush-limbaugh-conspiracy-theory-nyc-isis-arrest/202684
Radio host Rush Limbaugh suggested that reports of the recent arrests of three suspected American supporters of the so-called Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL) are actually a ploy by the Obama administration to push net neutrality regulations and a ruse to "ban the sale of bullets."
On February 25, two men were arrested in New York City, along with an accomplice in Florida, charged with "providing support for the Islamic State" according to The New York Times.
During the February 25 edition of his radio program, Limbaugh suggested that the news of the arrests was politically timed to coincide with the FCC's ruling on net neutrality regulations. Limbaugh also described the arrests as a media conspiracy meant to give cover for the government to "ban the sale of bullets," an apparent reference to a proposal by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to limit the availability of ammunition that when fired from a handgun is capable of penetrating body armor worn by law enforcement officers.
i have to wonder is he that stupid or does he think those who follow him are after all they are called ditto heads which is tantamount to the bobble head on your dashboard.  if the wind blows or you hit a bump or in his case just sneeze or farts and the ditto i mean bobble head agrees with whatever you just did.  since he's been losing sponsors have they been sending him money to help with his financial losses?  we're getting closer to identifying just who are the party of stupid.

Media Matters: O'Reilly Lied About Witnessing Murder of Nuns in El Salvador

image

From Media Matters:
Bill O'Reilly has claimed repeatedly that he witnessed the execution of nuns while reporting in 1981 on the civil war in El Salvador, an apparent fabrication that is at odds with both history and what O'Reilly himself has said about arriving in the country after the event took place, according to new information unearthed by Media Matters.
Between 1980 and 1992, a civil war raged in El Salvador between the Farabundo Martí National Liberation Front (FMLN) and the government of El Salvador. On December 2, 1980, four members of the Salvadoran national guard raped and shot "three American nuns and a layworker." The tragedy ''did more to inflame the debate over El Salvador in the United States than any other single incident,'' according to a 1993 State Department report. After the death of Silvia Arriola, a member of a religious order killed six weeks after those four churchwomen, "no priests or nuns were killed in El Salvador for more than eight years," according to Dr. Anna Lisa Peterson, a professor of religion at the University of Florida.
O'Reilly has spoken on several occasions about his time covering the Salvadoran civil war as a CBS correspondent in 1981, suggesting at least twice that he witnessed the murder of the churchwomen. On the September 27, 2005, edition of his talk-radio program The Radio Factor, O'Reilly said, "I've seen guys gun down nuns in El Salvador." And on the December 14, 2012, edition of his Fox News show, O'Reilly spoke of telling his mother that "I was in El Salvador and I saw nuns get shot in the back of the head."
However, O'Reilly could not possibly have witnessed the murder of the churchwomen if his own timeline is to be believed. The former CBS correspondent only arrived in El Salvador in 1981, as he mentioned on the February 22, 2002, edition of The O'Reilly Factor, saying (according to Nexis transcript), "Before I went to El Salvador in 1981, I talked with some experienced Latin American experts, people who had seen the brutal wars down there for themselves. I had never been in a war zone before, so I wanted some prep."
keep sending those shovels eventually his audience will realize billy bad azz is not as bad as he sold them and then question the other stuff of a like kind he was selling them was that too just a fantasy in his own head?  Fox will eventually have to disavow their loyalty because with ratings dropping from sponsors not wanting to be part of the lie fest he has no worth and his legacy well consider all recent stories a prerequisite of the faux mighty falling.  this is turning into the TV serials of the 50's each week another new episode same bat time same bat crap crazy channel.  reporters are usually immortalized unintentionally by video or text that said he'll get his dream of everlasting fame it will just be renamed infamy couldn't happen to a better guy, no serious not a better guy.

Al Roker says weather phenomenon is the result of climate change

Al Roker discusses climate change with Larry King

Al Roker was on Larry King's new interview show:
Roker: We've been in a pattern five weeks in a row where there's a storm that comes up and then forms and then reforms on the coast of New England, the mid-atlantic New England coast and dumps a ton of snow. And so Boston at this point is in it's number two snowiest winter.
King: Is this all part of climate change?
Roker: I think it is. Look, you can't point to any one event and say 'this is climate change' but what climate change opens the door for and allows for are more extreme swings of weather.
i still maintain the republican opposition to climate change is that they would open up the proverbial can of worms and the deregulation efforts to allow big business to put our lives in jeopardy so they can shortcut waste disposal let their factory smoke stacks pollute the air and chemicals the grounds and water.  as long as they deny it no matter how bogus it looks they can fight against the peoples well being in favor of corporate profits.  this could be the future that awaits your children and grandchildren

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/25/1366806/-What-happens-when-you-tax-the-rich-and-raise-the-minimum-wage-Meet-one-of-USA-s-best-economies?detail=email

Gov. Mark Dayton signs budget June 2011
                                             A governor doing his job
When Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton took office in 2011, Minnesota had more than a $6 billion dollar deficit and an unemployment rate of 7%. Today, Minnesota's unemployment rate is now below 4% and they have a budget surplus of over $1.2 billion dollars. How did Mark Dayton do this? Did he heed his Republican opponent Tom Emmer's advice?
Make no mistake, government cannot create the jobs we need to turn our economy around, but private business people can. State government can either help improve the necessary business climate – as I will do if elected governor – or it can hurt job development, as my opponents’ proposals to maintain the status quo would do.
No. No, he didn't.
During his first four years in office, Gov. Dayton raised the state income tax from 7.85 to 9.85 percent on individuals earning over $150,000, and on couples earning over $250,000 when filing jointly -- a tax increase of $2.1 billion. He's also agreed to raise Minnesota's minimum wage to $9.50 an hour by 2018, and passed a state law guaranteeing equal pay for women.
We all know that equal pay for women is a slippery slope that leads to voting rights and the loss of corsets and hoop skirts. Mark Dayton's approach of making people who can afford to pay, pay, helped eliminate the deficit. Raising the minimum wage gave more people money to spend. Businesses like money and they like people who have money to spend.
Between 2011 and 2015, Gov. Dayton added 172,000 new jobs to Minnesota's economy -- that's 165,800 more jobs in Dayton's first term than Pawlenty added in both of his terms combined. Even though Minnesota's top income tax rate is the 4th-highest in the country, it has the 5th-lowest unemployment rate in the country at 3.6 percent. According to 2012-2013 U.S. census figures, Minnesotans had a median income that was $10,000 larger than the U.S. average, and their median income is still $8,000 more than the U.S. average today.
this article has gone on to point out and debunk the republican lies about taxing the rich and raising wages for workers but i'd like to point out that this Gov. is a Dem. we need more to follow his lead and stop catering to those people who love republicans to their own detriment of their own well being.  this works for you because everybody is doing the fair and right thing.  business and stock market record breaking time and yet republican keep passing bills that give them more it will not stop when they fill one vault they buy another until we stop them.

it will take a couple of cycles because we need to vote them out and reconstitute the country to take care of us all not the select few.  remember "YES WE CAN".

GOP Lawmaker: Cancer Is "Fungus" & Can Be Flushed Out with Baking Soda!

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/25/1366902/-GOP-Lawmaker-Cancer-Is-Fungus-Can-Be-Flushed-Out-with-Baking-Soda?detail=email

So we had a GOP lawmaker a few days ago who tried to lecture a doctor during another anti-abortion fight right before he announced that he believed a  woman's stomach was connected to her vagina.  (And then proceeded to pass his anti-abortion bill).
Now we have another GOP lawmaker, tax cheat, and Cliven Bundy supporter Michele Fiore (R).  If she sounds familiar, it's because just last week she suggested "hot, little girls" on college campuses have firearms or you like rape.
(The photo she likes to use of herself is on my blog, because photobucket sucks.)
But this week the GOP has collectively decided to show their ignorance of biology, so Fiore contributed by proposing a bill that would let people use drugs without the approval of the FDA.  (She thinks the government is holding out on us.)  She made her point by literally arguing one of the most ignorant myths out there:
If you have cancer, which I believe is a fungus, and we can put a pic line into your body and we’re flushing with, say, salt water, sodium cardonate [sic-it's "biocarbonate"] through that line and flushing out the fungus. These are some procedures that are not FDA-approved in America that are very inexpensive, cost-effective.
Flushing yourself with baking soda because cancer is a fungus is listed as one of the top myths according to the UK's cancer research center.
i'm a cancer patient (lung) and i take umbrage to the ignorance and complete lack of consideration of those of us who may find hope in such a ridiculous assumption if she believes that you have to question everything she believes when it come to her ability to create laws for the rest of us. also they don't believe in science so in her head global warming is a myth while baking soda is a long held from us cure for cancer?  there is a fungus among us it's called republican party and this strain could be cured by flushing.

Boehner won't decide on Senate security bill until it passes

http://news.yahoo.com/boehner-wont-decide-senate-security-bill-until-passes-170107003--business.html
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday he was still waiting for the Senate to pass a Homeland Security funding bill before he decides whether to support a version of it without immigration restrictions.
"The House has done its work. And when the Senate does its work, we'll let you know how we're going to proceed," Boehner said at a news conference at the Capitol.
he keeps saying they did their job well if they did what is he talking about he's waiting for senate before he can proceed that's just another withholding from the people votes on the floor because he knew he couldn't get the votes for their side to win.  so we the people are only get bills passed if they are in favor of and has the votes for republicans to win, that's not for us it's for them. recognize 2016 vote for yourself for a change.

U.S. government says 8.84 million people signed on for 2015 Obamacare plans

People wait in line to sign up for health insurance at an enrollment event in Commerce

(Reuters) - Some 8.84 million people selected or were automatically enrolled as of Feb. 22 in an individual health insurance plan on the HealthCare.gov website created under the national healthcare reform law, the U.S. government health agency said on Wednesday.
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services extended enrollment for people who had tried to buy an insurance plan on or before Feb. 15 but were unable to because of customer lines at the call center or technical issues. Some 40,714 people picked a plan after enrollment closed on Feb. 15.
The U.S. agency said that 90,000 consumers who had coverage in 2014 were not able to hold onto that coverage in 2015 because they lacked citizenship or immigration status documents, down from a previous estimate of 200,000 people. It said the figure is included in the total of 8,838,291 million plan selections.
now this changes to view are republicans still willing to yank insurance from under almost 41 million Americans now that would cause a train wreck and be an abomination of how not to run a gov't republican style.  looks like they've been Out'Bama'd again Americans 1,000 republican goose eggs.

Israeli opposition leader to PM: Cancel Congress speech

http://news.yahoo.com/israeli-opposition-leader-pm-cancel-congress-speech-115251707.html
JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel's opposition leader on Thursday called on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel his upcoming speech to the U.S. Congress, saying it will cause "strategic damage" to ties with Washington.
"I call on Netanyahu again: Stop. Enough, Bibi, enough. You aren't going. Don't go. You will cause strategic damage to Israel's standing and to the relationship with the United States," Herzog said at a press conference, referring to Netanyahu by his nickname.
Herzog also condemned Netanyahu's decision not to meet with Senate Democrats when he goes to Washington next week, saying the prime minister is "playing politics inside American politics." In turning down the offer, Netanyahu said such a meeting could "compound the misperception of partisanship" surrounding his visit.
looks like right winger are all deluded around the world, just like here the right is trying to insert itself where it shouldn't be and my previous thoughts that all were not wear dunce caps needs rethinking  they are saying both our republicans and rightly Netanyahu they intend to disrupt peace talks between the Pres. and Iran one interfering with another gov't in opposition to his own gov't which holds elections in a few weeks the other colluding with the interferer against their own gov't i still say treason.

The underlying racism in Gov. Scott Walker questioning whether or not President Obama is a Christian

This past weekend, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a conservative darling and potential Republican nominee for president, waded into deeply troubling waters when he refused to state whether or not he believed President Obama is a Christian.
“I don’t know,” Walker said in an interview at the JW Marriott hotel in Washington, where he was attending the winter meeting of the National Governors Association.
Told that Obama has frequently spoken publicly about his Christian faith, Walker maintained that he was not aware of the president’s religion.
“I’ve actually never talked about it or I haven’t read about that,” Walker said, his voice calm and firm. “I’ve never asked him that,” he added.
let's just say that Walker and other republicans who refuse to admit Pres. is a Christian first because it's still working with their gullible base,  confirming it would admit they lied in the first place and IMO to them he's not their kind of Christian the one that worships power and money and a evangelical deity which we know has no relation to what the Bible and the other religions teach hate, bigotry, racism and selfishness curriculum of their Sunday school and the primary sermon.  so no they would not recognize him as a Christian because they have no idea what one is.

Why do white churches continue to use debunked white images of Jesus & other biblical personalities?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/24/1366486/-Why-do-white-churches-continue-to-use-debunked-white-images-of-Jesus-other-biblical-personalities?detail=email

The Last Supper, ca. 1520, by Giovanni Pietro Rizzoli is the best recreation of the DaVinci version.

Leonardo da Vinci painted his version of "The Last Supper" from 1494-1498. It's famous. It's special. It's important. What it isn't, is historically accurate ... at all. Using only European models, in a European environment, da Vinci painted a distinctively European portrait of what was actually a very Palestinian moment that took place a full 45 generations before the painting was created.
How different did your family look 45 generations ago?
If you did a portrait of the United States, using European models, of what America looked like 45 generations ago, how accurate would it be?
It might be missing a few Native Americans, right?
Do you think it would be offensive for the most famous portrait of America in 500 A.D. to exclusively use British models?
Let's flip the logic for a few moments in a way that may disturb your racial sensitivities a bit more.
What if we painted a portrait of Hitler and his army, but chose to use only African models? That'd be weird, right?
What if we painted a portrait of Hitler and his army, but chose to use only African models? That'd be weird, right?
Or what if we did a portrait of George Washington and his first cabinet and used only young Latino models? That'd be pretty funny, right?
Well, this portrait of the distinctively European Jesus and his European posse is just as laughable as those scenarios and it is chronologically, geographically, and ethnographically offensive to lift it up as anything other than art.
So, why then, do prominent predominantly white churches continue to display this portrait and other European images of Jesus, his disciples, and of other biblical personalities when even the most basic research details how historically inaccurate they are?
If you are fully aware that Jesus didn't have blonde hair and blue eyes, what's the payoff for displaying him as such?
If you know that Jesus wasn't a European model from 1500 A.D., but a Palestinian carpenter from a completely different point in history, why do you continue to advance this iconography?
What is clear, is that in spite of historical evidence that Jesus looked nothing like a da Vinci model, this imagery remains popular in white churches nonetheless.
While these churches may sincerely have no idea that many people, myself included, find the continued, almost exclusive promotion of this imagery offensive, it's time that we at least discuss the real reasons why white churches love these images so much.
this has perplexed many of my generation our parents and elders get upset if you question it are they upset because they bought into it or that they refuse to consider because of some deep seated self hatred that won't allow them to believe Jesus could be Black?  slave owners other slaves than the White power structure all kept it going taking away the self esteem of older Blacks that they and their color are not qualified for any more than they were allowed.  has this book and verse been ignored by those White and Black churches that still display the Hollywood version of JESUS?

Ted Cruz says Lynch confirmation would be a 'travesty,' and all McConnell's fault

U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) (C) departs the Senate floor after a late-night vote rejected budget legislation from the Republican-controlled House of Representatives at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, September 30, 2013. The U.S. government was on the edg

Cruz told Newsmax host John Bachman, "We have the ability to defeat this nomination, and there are two ways to do so. Number one, if every Republican on the Judiciary Committee simply votes no, the nomination is dead."
"Secondly," he added, "even if the committee votes on her nomination, leadership has the authority simply not to report the nomination to the floor."
"If leadership brings it to the floor, the Republican Senate will have put in place an attorney general who will continue the lawlessness and abuse of power of President Obama," he said. "I think that would be a travesty, I think it would be an abdication of our responsibility, I certainly hope we don’t do that."
Got it, McConnell? You are the only thing standing in the way of a lawless, rogue tyrant who would drive this country to ruin. So what exactly are you going to do about Ted Cruz?
if you are not throwing things at your monitor and saying things that disparage his lineage than you need to read it again.  note the deceptive ploys he suggest as solutions to not approving a lady who's only thing the right can use to deny her is that she agrees with Pres. on immigration.  this from a guy is turning against his own or does he no longer associate himself as Hispanic origin that leave only his Canadian lineage that makes him invalid as a presidential candidate.  point is they don't want Hispanics and it's evident that they will go to any length to keep them out and he is leading the charge.

tea people are out of hibernation and are back trying to destroy America with another shutdown like before they won't be able to blame Pres.

Dear @Zendaya, I'm sorry I offended you and others. I was referring to a bohemian chic look....
Bohemian chic look? What exactly does that have to do with weed?

you must read her response to the bigots remarks the intelligence and sincerity shine through and also shines a light on how ignorant some people are and still get time on TV.  stereotyping is wrong as this person was it was not funny and few in the audience laughed you can see the worm turn when the "ah crap" moment sunk in. she also needs to know that disingenuous apologies are transparent.  she needs a time out.  intelligent responses to archaic bigotry seem to be coming more prevalent it is good the dumbness of the original cracks are well overshadowed by a considered and pertinent response.

You Won't Believe Roy Moore's Answer As To Why He's Not Like George Wallace

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/24/1366456/-You-Won-t-Believe-Roy-Moore-s-Answer-As-To-Why-He-s-Not-Like-George-Wallace?detail=email

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Injustice Roy Moore has given an interview to the Associated Press, explaining his illegal fight against marriage equality in Alabama (some states never learn) and why he's not the modern-day reincarnation of George Wallace.
His answer to the latter question has to be seen to be believed.
From AL.com (emphasis added):
Moore's actions have drawn inevitable comparisons to former Gov. George Wallace's 1963 largely symbolic "stand in the schoolhouse door" aimed at preventing desegregation at the University of Alabama, nine years after education segregation was ruled illegal.
Moore said there is another difference.
"George Wallace moved," he said, noting how the former governor eventually stepped aside.
"I can't move from my position because I'm bound to uphold the Constitution," Moore said.
i guess in their heads they have taken "THEIR" country back the rhetoric is reminiscent of the ideology of the southern right racist back in their day, and with more impunity than ever since.  if you wrap yourself in it make sure you wipe the elephant dung off of it so you can see the actual words.  and thinking he can't move that's about as logical as the original statement 0.0000000000.0 factual.

Rep. Glenn Grothman urges constituents to keep an eye out for poor people at grocery stores

Wisconsin state Sen. Glenn Grothman (R)

As the man most likely to someday usurp Rep. Louie Gohmert's throne as America's Dumbest Congressman, Wisconsin's Rep. Glenn Grothman has some mighty big shoes to fill. I think he's up to the challenge.
Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis.) reportedly said at a town hall in his district last week that constituents should monitor purchases made with debit cards from Food Share, which is Wisconsin's name for the federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Grothman "told the people in attendance to keep an eye on the types of things people on Food Share buy at the grocery store," Oshkosh Northwestern Media reported Monday.
Because that's what poor Americans really need, to have the whole store looking over their shoulder when they're buying groceries, looking to see if there's anything there that Congressman Glenn Grothman needs to know about. Don't you think you should be buying generic-brand rice, not the fancy stuff? Do your kids really need romaine lettuce? What the hell's wrong with iceberg? A bag of chips? You. Monster.
Yeah, that will make everything better.
if you look back at all the republican rhetoric you can remember around food stamps they come off like the countries we know that voucher the people's needs like food, toilet paper and clean water, are you feeling that greatest country in the world thing making the hair on your neck bristle?

republican base FYI you guys get the majority of food stamps not a good two months and they are talking about sticking it to you big time break it down they are taking food out of the mouths of your family and dictating to you what you should buy while their carts have all brand name stuff.  didn't they just recently accuse Pres. of telling you what kind of healthcare you should get even though it's much better and less costly than what you had, if you can't see your dr than he/she was not giving you good service and care.  ObamaCares requires top tier care not substandard whatever the dr can get away with care.

can you imagine Black people in the store shopping and Whites and store owners following them and looking over their shoulder keeping notes?

Barbara Boxer Knocks It Out Of The F*cking Park With GOP Hypocrisy, Irresponsibility & Obama Hatred

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/02/24/1366654/-Barbara-Boxer-Hits-It-Out-Of-The-F-cking-Park-Regarding-Irresponsible-Republicans-The-New-Shutdown?detail=email#

"This is a self-inflicted crisis, made up by the Republicans. It is dangerous, it is the height of irresponsibility, and it's unnecessary."-Barbara Boxer, February 24, 2015 (regarding the GOP threat of a Department of Homeland Security shutdown.)
We all know Republicans won in huge numbers in the 2014 election, and they took over the United States Senate and they run it. They run it. Or at least they're trying to run it. And let's be clear, less than eight weeks after they took  over the Senate, we are facing a shutdown; a shutdown of the very agency that protects the health, the safety, the lives, of the American people - the Department of Homeland Security.
They're shutting down the program that funds our police officers back home, our firefighters, our first responders. Any way you look at it - this is a national disgrace. And think about what our friends abroad, and those who are not our friends, are thinking about this.
Republicans say, 'Oh, we're in danger, we have to go to go to war, put combat troops on the ground!' But they're wiling to shut down the department that protects Americans here in the homeland, from a terrorist attack.
How does it make sense, at a time when we're facing serious threats to our national security, to furlough 30,000, thirty thousand, department of homeland security workers, and to force more than 100,000 frontline homeland security personnel to work without pay?
Why don't theses senators go without their pay?
Give up your pay! Give up your healthcare, give up your benefits, if this is so important to you. Oh, no, they'll collect their pay!
Senator Boxer reminds Congress that this shutdown threat is in retaliation to President Obama's recent plan for immigration. Boxer talks about those at risk of being deported. She talks about children who were born to American immigrants (as she was) who would be torn away from each other if the GOP had their way.
"I thought they were the party of 'family values.' Show me where that's true, ripping families apart. I thought they were the party of 'economic prosperity.' Show me how that's true, when we know from study after study show that one of the greatest things we can do for our economy and job creation is get people out of the shadows so they can go buy a home and hold a good job. They (Republicans) can't or won't pass an immigration bill. They will not do their job. So when the president steps in and does his job, they say, 'Oh, this is terrible! Let's shutdown a totally unrelated department. The Department of Homeland Security.
To make her points about Republican hypocrisy, Boxer brings up the GOP's claimed concern for 'fiscal responsibility' and executive orders.
The Center for American Progress, states it would cost more than $50 Billion to deport the entire population that the president is protecting.
And here's the deal - I've never heard of a Republican (and I will stand corrected if any Republican corrects me) I've never heard of a Republican complaining when President Eisenhower used his executive order power to help immigrants, when President Nixon did the same thing to protect immigrants, when President Ronald Reagan, their hero, protected immigrants, when George Bush Sr. protected immigrants, when George W. protected immigrants, they all used their authority.
Show me one Republican that stood up and said, 'Oh, this is outrageous! Let's impeach the president!' But it's president Obama. And they're annoyed because he won twice. Sorry. Sorry. Wake up and smell the roses. He IS the President. And he is doing the right thing for America, because he loves America.
i'm loving the fact that Dems are starting to stand up and be counted and especially proud tht our women politicians seem to be carrying the flag ladies are doin' it on their own,  6 years late but better late than never. gutless male DINO'S should be ashamed.  had this been the response by the entire party showing solidarity with the first Black Pres. instead of acting like republicans with a gag over their mouths and saying nothing about the racial insults, the disrespect of him as the Pres. and the office, not having his back promoting his agenda, not pulling his coat when he was headed for something they knew was not good that he wasn't aware of because he was new and blind in respect to republicans being reasonable and caring for America and it's people.

that i think was their biggest flub, not mistake because the old guard absolutely knew the danger signs but chose to stay mute.  silence is more loudly interpreted as a passive okay running away from his EO's was another downfall during 2014 they silently told the people they did not support the Pres. coupled with republican constant defaming did more to influence stay home voters than the republicans were at that time. i wondered the first time i recognized the lack of support if they to were discriminating against their party's leader, you have to ask the question.

American Jews Worry That Netanyahu's Speech Here Can Hurt Israel

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/robert-k-lifton/american-jews-worry-that-_b_6743862.html

While few American Jewish leaders will speak openly on the subject, many thoughtful Jews are worried that Prime Minister Netanyahu's planned speech in the House of Representatives on March 3rd will actually harm Israel's security interests rather than help them. They fear that the US electorate, which is clearly unwilling to get involved in another major conflict following on the costly wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, may see Netanyahu's speech as war mongering -- an attempt to push the United States into military conflict with Iran.
The thrust of Netanyahu's position is that anything short of an enforceable agreement by Iran to give up all efforts at achieving nuclear capability is unacceptable. However, it appears that the negotiators from United States and other of the P5+1 countries (Russia, China, United Kingdom, France plus Germany) are seeking an agreement that would permit Iran to retain its nuclear infrastructure but delay its ability to build a nuclear weapon by more than a year with sufficiently rigorous inspection and other protection elements.
Thus, explicitly or implicitly, Netanyahu may ask the Congress to reject any agreement reached by the negotiators and acceptable to the Obama Administration. In addition, he may ask the Congress to add more sanctions on Iran. Negotiations with Iran are already running into problems and it is very possible that they may fail. The threat of increased sanctions may be blamed for that failure. Even if the negotiation achieves the objectives set by the Administration, Congress may reject the agreement.
Either way, a failed negotiation with Iran will put the Obama Administration in a position to make good on the President's statement "My policy is prevention of Iran obtaining nuclear weapons." With sanctions and negotiation not working, the only open path is military action.
Whether Netanyahu's intention is to lead America into war or only to increase pressure on Iran, the fear is that those opposed to another military intervention by the United States - and there will be many -- will quickly seize on blaming Netanyahu and Israel for creating the conditions requiring military action. One can be sure that Iran will certainly do so and those opponents of Israel and anti-Semites here will readily take up that argument. In the end, they may prevail in stopping military action or if nothing else, create strong resentment by American citizens against Israel for pressing the United States into an unwanted war.
who pushed Beohner into this anti American fool's folly did he think past "i can slap Pres." to even consider all the ramifications of doing this which is obviously dripping with arrogance and some selfish need to get Pres. back for his EO's which i might mention does not come a the cost of another war and broken families from death of war.  this is out of control and suggest to the world that the greatest country in the world is at odds with itself and it's people.  not so great huh when your leaders and law makers are controlled by foreigners with their own agenda, out of sour grapes at not being able to best the President of US the republicans again aspire to destroy the country and it's foreign policy, is the tea party back and speaking for republicans??

THIS IS DEFINITELY NO WAY TO RUN A GOV'T OR A COUNTRY recognize 2016 ignoring will result in repetition.

Netanyahu declines meeting with US Democrats

http://news.yahoo.com/netanyahu-declines-meeting-us-democrats-161629058.html;_ylt=AwrBJSAe9.1UV0UAkV3QtDMD

Washington (AFP) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a proposed meeting with US Senate Democrats during his upcoming Washington visit, saying it would fuel "misperception of partisanship" over his planned address to Congress.
Netanyahu's decline, confirmed in a letter to Senators Dick Durbin and Dianne Feinstein seen by AFP, cast further attention Wednesday on an already contentious visit by the Israeli leader that has severely strained ties with President Barack Obama's administration.
US House Speaker John Boehner invited Netanyahu to address Congress March 3, but in an apparent breach of protocol the top Republican did so without consulting the White House or Democratic congressional leaders.
The senators, who sought a closed-door meeting between Netanyahu and the Democratic caucus, said in their invitation that Boehner's move "sacrifices deep and well-established cooperation on Israel for short-term partisan points."
They urged Netanyahu to meet with Democrats "to maintain Israel's dialogue with both political parties in Congress."
But the prime minister declined.
"I believe that doing so at this time could compound the misperception of partisanship regarding my upcoming visit," Netanyahu responded Tuesday.
"I can assure you that my sole intention in accepting it was to voice Israel's grave concerns about a potential nuclear agreement with Iran that could threaten the survival of my country," Netanyahu added.
Durbin, in a statement, said Netanyahu's "refusal to meet is disappointing to those of us who have stood by Israel for decades."
Israel is believed to have nukes if so why are they trying to put their eggs in our basket as gung ho as BIBI is he could go ahead and bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran himself?  another point we have not heard Iran express fear of a maniacal war crazed Netanyahu pushing the red button, which begs to question are they and have they been faking it as to being a super power it would explain the hurry to war agenda just sayin' if this is a point he's going about it in the wrong way America is war weary and republicans are chomping at the bit which would make them the logical ones to talk to but it's unclear as to whether congress can declare war without the Pres. i'm sure they would say they do but here's a link that might help
https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/can-congress-declare-war-without-the-consent-of-the-president
think about this he won't meet with Dems because it might appear partisan, wtf does he think meeting with nothing but right wing republicans looks like???

Netanyahu Invites Arab Diplomats to His Big Speech—and Gets Rejected

http://news.yahoo.com/netanyahu-invites-arab-diplomats-big-speech-gets-rejected-110000250--politics.html
BENJAMIN NETANYAHU
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is refusing to meet with a group of ardently pro-Israel Democratic senators next week in Washington, but he very much wants to see the faces of Arab ambassadors in the audience during his controversial address to Congress.
Netanyahu's ambassador to the United States, Ron Dermer, has tried, without success, to recruit Arab ambassadors to come to his boss’s speech, e-mailing them personally to plead for their attendance. Dermer, who is not a trained diplomat, is the man who helped engineer the invitation to Netanyahu to speak to Congress in opposition to President Obama’s (so far theoretical) Iran nuclear deal.
Israeli sources tell me that Dermer in recent days has e-mailed at least two Arab ambassadors, those of Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates. He made the case in these e-mails that Sunni-majority Arab states and Israel have a common interest in thwarting a nuclear agreement with Shiite Iran—and that presenting a united and public front on Capitol Hill will help convince Congress to stop the Iran deal before it’s too late.
It is true that Israel and such countries as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait see Iran as an enemy, and believe that the Obama administration might be inadvertently (or, for the more conspiratorially minded, advertently) setting Iran on the path to nuclearization. It is also true that no Arab ambassador would allow himself to be used as a prop in Netanyahu’s controversial address, and I'm told that neither ambassador will be in attendance. (A related, subsidiary question is this: Just who from the diplomatic corps will actually attend the speech? Will any ambassador show up?)
i would suppose someone will show up but keep in mind Netanyahu represents the right wing of his country and they like ours are war monger saber waver's.  i think the two that refused to be apart of this contrivance are right peace should be pursued to it's end war should be a last effort, it's easy to sit in a palace or wherever he sits and send someone else's children to their deaths because of your pissing match.  what would really happen if Iran gets nukasized Israel and several other countries have them now and i'm sure if we look back they have said something like killing off their enemy of that time.  if Iran gets it neither will use it i think the other mid east countries and Russia and China which would face potential fall out problems would finally get some skin in the fight and stop it from happening,  No. Korea's been selling wolf tickets and have nukes but the worry is over something that has not happened.

i repeat we are not Israel's big brother who protects them from neighborhood bullies, nor are we the other countries over their they have armies they are at risk if their butts don't mean enough to them to fight for it dust to dust.

Fox News And CNN Ignore Passage Of Major Anti-LGBT Law In Arkansas

Fox News and CNN ignored the passage of a major anti-LGBT law in Arkansas. Will cable news outlets keep silent as conservatives push for similar legislation across the country?
On February 23, Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR) allowed Arkansas SB 202 to become law. The law prohibits cities and counties from adopting non-discrimination protections that are stronger than those adopted by the state government, effectively banning local protections for LGBT Arkansans in housing, employment, and public accommodations. According to an Equality Matters analysis, since it was first filed in the state senate on February 2, SB 202 has received no coverage from either Fox News or CNN:
okay can you call this anything other than the tyranny of a dictatorship prohibiting tax paying American citizens of respecting other tax paying American citizens service or protections against the very people that are fostering this law. republicans are so pleased with themselves every time they can slap something down that Pres. has advocated and gotten into law it's more to slap him than deny those they oppose.

i would like them to show us where in the Bible that God said refuse anyone of basics. the Bible is critical about homosexuality but it also says love thy neighbor, you have to drop and disobey one if you embrace the other.  click this link below very interesting take on homosexuality it has something for both sides which can make it easy for one side or the other to stop reading at the first confirmation of their point.  that is not advised if you can't bring yourself to go on pass that point then you do yourself and family and friends an injustice they may be caught up in this IMO bigotry.  the rest of this article as well is informative about how some subvert the bill of rights "life, liberty and pursuit of happiness"  as long as i agree with your happiness.  by discriminating they violate man's law and God's law what does that make those who do?

Under Scrutiny For Fabrications, O'Reilly Shifts Focus To Claim Fox News Is Under Siege

Under Attack

Bill O'Reilly tried to shift focus away from the scrutiny he is facing for embellishing his reporting career by claiming that Fox News is under attack.
On the February 24 edition of Fox News' The O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly attempted to shift focus away from scrutiny surrounding discrepancies in his accounts of his reporting career by claiming that Fox News is under attack. Pointing to criticism disputing his claims about covering the 1982 Falklands War as a CBS News correspondent,
O'Reilly claimed that despite rebutting such criticism, the media attacks against him have been "vicious, it's more vicious now than it [has] ever been." O'Reilly asserted that the reason he and his Fox News colleagues are under attack is because "Fox gives voice to conservatives and traditional people," and are "putting tremendous pressure on the Obama administration to fight the terror savages," and holding Hillary Clinton accountable ahead of a potential 2016 presidential bid. O'Reilly added, "On a personal note, I'm pretty tired of all the garbage":
when cornered the king of cable news cries about how tough and vicious those mean people that exposed him are getting.  in a way he's right Fox is and has always been under fire for doing what he now is accused of lying.  as to Fox and conservative people being traditional yeah they have for the last 6 years traditionally lied misled and helped republicans get that message of deception out.  and of course the daily Obama bash which has nothing to do with his or Fox's problems except providing the subject of their contrivances the only subject if you notice whenever they get exposed there is always some condemnation of Pres. in there somewhere.

they are dishonoring rats at least they fight back when cornered and don't start the other blame game.  he's been looking a little beaten down lately is he sick or just beaten down?

Fox News Adopts GOP Smear Attempt On Net Neutrality, Dubbing It "Obamanet"

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/02/24/fox-news-adopts-gop-smear-attempt-on-net-neutra/202659

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy pushed a Republican attempt to tar net neutrality when he said that it "could do to the Internet what Obamacare did to the healthcare system," a right-wing attack widely discredited when Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) pushed the idea in November.
During the February 24 edition of Fox News' Special Report, correspondent Peter Doocy reported that the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will vote on net neutrality protections for the Internet on February 26. Doocy compared the alleged lack of transparency in the FCC's proposed plans to the Affordable Care Act's passage and claimed, "some critics already calling a slowed down web Obamanet, and their fear is that these changes could do to the internet what Obamacare did to the healthcare system."
Cruz was roundly criticized for his misleading attack. Tech blog Gizmodo called Cruz' tweet "disingenuous" and "dangerous." And according to Salon, "Cruz was absurdly wrong on the substance and demonstrated an ignorance of both healthcare and tech policy." Salon did concede however that healthcare and internet service did share some "common features":
Healthcare and Internet service in America do share some common features - specifically, we pay a lot for both, and the product we get in return kinda sucks relative to how much we spend. Head to Europe or Asia and chances are that you'll be able to purchase faster Internet access for far less money than you'd pay here. Also, Internet connections abroad are getting faster and cheaper, while prices and speeds are pretty much staying the same in the U.S.
this attack is more a positioning by right wing to privatize the internet allowing them the same opportunities to gouge us like the ins. co.'s.  net neutrality protects we the people from them the greedy rich, republicans we know who's side they fight for remember anytime the right wing goes all out Rambo on trying to push something it is not something that benefits us ever heard of keystone?

Hannity: Selma's John Legend "Doesn't Know Anything" About Voting Rights Fox Host Gets Voting Rights Act And Voter ID Wrong In Attack On Legend's Oscars Speech

http://mediamatters.org/blog/2015/02/24/hannity-selmas-john-legend-doesnt-know-anything/202650

Fox News Host Sean Hannity is criticizing singer John Legend's Oscars speech, which invoked the civil rights movement and the ongoing fight for racial and social justice. In response to Legend's completely accurate statement that the Voting Rights Act of 1965 is under attack today, Hannity disagreed and appeared to argue that the seminal civil rights law was irrelevant to strict voter ID laws.
On February 22, Legend and co-writer Common won the Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Glory," from the film Selma, a historical drama about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s fight for equal voting rights. In his acceptance speech, Legend noted that the civil rights struggle represented in the movie continues "right now": "We wrote this song for a film that was based on events that were 50 years ago, but we say that Selma is now, because the struggle for justice is right now. We know that the Voting Rights Act that they fought for 50 years ago is being compromised right now, in this country, today."
On the February 23 edition of his show, Hannity complained that Legend "decided to make all things political." Even though Legend didn't explicitly bring up voter ID laws in his speech, Hannity went on to suggest that it was inappropriate for Legend to "equate the Voting Rights Act with showing an ID to get to vote so we can keep honesty and integrity in our elections ... I like John Legend as a musician, but he doesn't know anything about politics":
But Legend is absolutely correct when he says that the Voting Rights Act "is being compromised right now," and it's Hannity who is flat wrong.
In 2013, the Supreme Court struck down a key provision of the Voting Rights Act in Shelby County v. Holder, which required states that had a history of racially discriminatory voting practices to secure "preclearance" from the Department of Justice before making changes to their election rules.
Just days after that decision, states that had previously been subject to preclearance began introducing unnecessarily restrictive voter ID laws, despite the fact that in-person voter fraud -- the only kind of election fraud that these laws would prevent -- is virtually nonexistent. Right-wing media and activists are now looking to challenge the constitutionality of the remainder of the Voting Right Act's enforcement mechanism, as part of their continued assault on over fifty years of civil rights precedent.
As for the relation between the law and strict voter ID, contrary to Hannity's assertions, this form of redundant identification has always been subject to the Voting Rights Act and still is litigated under this statute.
this my friends is creating their own news putting words in mouths of those on video tape and you don't have the master to alter lip movement is just plain ignorant like paying 3 couples to rant against ObamaCares it can be researched something those at Fox are like republican politicians they don't want to and don't read anything longer than a paragraph, it's what makes them such obvious liars they keep ignoring their own history and keep repeating it.

they would improve their image over years if they would just research and scrutinize their lies it would save them so much time and embarrassment if they just read something or check their archives maybe it's too many of them for us to expect them to read them much easier to fabricate but in doing that you need to keep records or you build that proverbial tangled web.
